Resumo

This research is characterized as a quantitative and qualitative investigation, that used exploratory and descriptive elements (MARCONI; LAKATOS, 2003). This study seeks to answer the following central question: how the knowledge produced in the scope of monograph research at the Faculty of Physical Education and Dance of the Federal University of Goiás (FEFD-UFG) about Physical Education (PE) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) has it presented in the last 24 years? What monographic studies of FEFD-UFG were produced by students who graduated from the Licentiate Degree in PE about ECE? Therefore, it aims to map, analyze and understand the theoretical production of FEFD-UFG on Early Childhood Education to think about the training curriculum - prescribed in the Pedagogical Curriculum Project (PPC-2014) -, specific for the pedagogical work carried out with children. As specific objectives: 1) Conduct a bibliographic research in FEFD databases and repositories in order to identify the monographic productions that relate to Early Childhood Education; 2) Systematically analyze the production of knowledge found about Early Childhood Education; 3) Problematize and relate the analyzes carried out with the FEFD-UFG PE Licentiate training curriculum prescribed in the PPC-2014. The State of the Art methodology was used (ROMANOWSKI; ENS, 2007; FERREIRA, 2002), with data collection carried out in the digital and physical repositories of the institution in question, where 118 titles were selected, in the period 1996 to 2019, with the following descriptors: “baby”; "kid"; "nursery"; "child education"; "childhood"; “infant”; "preschool". Only the abstracts of the monographs were selected for analysis, and classified according to the theoretical approaches of Physical Education (Traditional; Alternatives; Critical/Progressive) and then the abstracts of the monographs with the descriptors "nursery", "education" were selected. infant” and “preschool”; these analyzed based on the categories created by Bracht et al. (2001) and in subcategories created a posteriori. The theoretical framework used comes from some authors who address the Theory of Knowledge (MOSER; MULDER; TROUT, 2004; BURKE, 2003), other authors (FERREIRA, 2002; SWALES, 2009) who helped to understand the research object: the monographs of FEFD-UFG undergraduate students from FEFD-UFG. The final considerations of the research show that the FEFD-UFG monographs, in the last 24 years, are characterized by the presence of elements that seem to refer to the curricular proposal established in the PPC-2014, especially with regard to the theoretical foundation based on the Approach Historical-Cultural, Historical-Critical Pedagogy and Body Culture. There are signs that show - and there is a need for further research - that the Supervised Internship discipline seems to fill the gap in the absence of a specific discipline for the training of teachers to work with PE children.
