This research have as main subject the possibles beliefs that concern the process of educational ingresses of the first deaf student in the graduation of civil engineer of the Universidade Estadual de Goias (UEG), campus Anápolis - GO. The justification is based on the necessity of discuss the formation of a deaf engineer, given the fact that never happened before on the institution, and that are reasons to suppose that some beliefes of the group of teachers may influence this process. In order of the real importance of the theme, lies on the fact on the shortage of researches in the area of applied linguistic that analyses the beliefs of educators of deaf students. The main goal is identify and analyse the possibles beliefs, classifying in nuclear or periferics. Has been used as methodology a qualitative approach made with bibliographies researches, elaboration, application and analysis of a questionnaire. Among 33 teachers, 13 answered the quiz sent by email. The references used were Pajares (1992), Barcelos (2004), Silva (2007), and others that discuss the same theme. The results, based on this group of teachers, showed at least three possible peripheral beliefs and three core beliefs, reinforcing the understanding that this may directly influence the teaching and learning process of the deafened student. As highlight, as well, there is the necessity of development of research in this area, with the main goal to create the likelihood of new debates that may offer learning and possibilities of changes on such beliefs.
