Resumo

If it is not possible to teach Philosophy but to philosophize, how to teach how to philosophize? Obviously, philosophizing. On the other hand, if Philosophy is not defined by an object of its own or by a privileged method, what is then that action referred to by the verb `phi-losophizing`? That Philosophy is not defined by an object or by any me-thod seems clear enough. However, something, in general, should cha-racterize the act of philosophizing. What seems to characterize it, how-ever negatively, is the attempt of solving problems that with the results of other sciences or with the knowledge obtained in other areas of hu-man activity would be impossible. That takes us to the object of this paper: discuss how, in fact, it is possible to teach to philosophize – and not only to teach History of Phi-losophy. We can only teach to philosophize as we teach anything else: by our own example of philosophizing, that is, discussing, evaluating and searching for answers to the problems that we face.
