dc.description.abstractIf it is not possible to teach Philosophy but to philosophize, how to teach how to philosophize? Obviously, philosophizing. On the other hand, if Philosophy is not defined by an object of its own or by a privileged method, what is then that action referred to by the verb `phi-losophizing`? That Philosophy is not defined by an object or by any me-thod seems clear enough. However, something, in general, should cha-racterize the act of philosophizing. What seems to characterize it, how-ever negatively, is the attempt of solving problems that with the results of other sciences or with the knowledge obtained in other areas of hu-man activity would be impossible. That takes us to the object of this paper: discuss how, in fact, it is possible to teach to philosophize – and not only to teach History of Phi-losophy. We can only teach to philosophize as we teach anything else: by our own example of philosophizing, that is, discussing, evaluating and searching for answers to the problems that we face.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoSe não se ensina filosofia, mas a filosofar (Kant), como se en-sina a filosofar? Obviamente, filosofando. Por outro lado, se a filosofia não se define por um objeto próprio nem a distingue um só método privilegiado, em que consiste, então, essa ação que o filosofar aponta? Que a filosofia não se define por um objeto nem por um método pare-ce claro. No entanto, algo, em geral, deve caracterizar o filosofar. O que parece caracterizá-lo, mesmo que negativamente, é a tentativa de resolu-ção de problemas que, com o resultado de outras ciências ou do conhe-cimento obtido em outras áreas da atividade humana, são impossíveis de serem resolvidos. Isso nos leva ao objeto desta comunicação: discutir como, efetivamente, é possível ensinar a filosofar e não simplesmente ensinar [história da] filosofia. Ensina-se a filosofar como se ensina outra atividade qualquer: pelo exemplo. Neste caso, pelo exemplo de um agir filosofante, ou seja, discutindo, avaliando e procurando respostas aos problemas que a cada um de nós, filosoficamente, nos preocupam.pt_BR
