Conceitos e percepções de extensão dos coordenadores de extensão universitária nos cursos de graduação da Unievangélica – Goiás

University extension activities have been built historically with basis on several senses and meanings. Due to the diversity of conceptions, this study aims to analyze the conceptions of professors that, presently or previously, have been more involved than others in university extension activities. Semi-structured interviews and analysis of documents were the methodological option. The data were individually transcribed and analyzed; due to several meanings captured during the interviews, it was possible to perceive that does not exist a single conception of extension activities among professors of Unievangélica: sometimes extension activities are conceived as accomplishing a social function, sometimes as social care practices or still as marketing opportunity for the course, among other conceptions. It was observed that the conception of the importance of university extension activities for the community and for academic formation is strongly connected to the conception of extension the professor owns. The analysis of the existing conceptions provided elements to reflect about practices and knowledge of the university extension activities in Unievangélica and in higher education as a whole.
