Resumo
The quilombola communities in Amapá are undergoing a process of identity strengthening and their political mobilization in the beginning of the 21st century. The objective of this article is to deal with the identity and territorial processes that the Kilombo of Rose lives. The work is based on ethnography and interviews. The main demand of Quilombo do Rosa is the titling of its territory and conquest of public policies of housing and education. Ethnogenesis, the emergence of quilombola identity, occurred in the first decade of the 21st century, when the quilombola communities of Amapá live a new scenario, especially with the arrival of public policies such as the Brasil Quilombola Program and with the work of the Foundation Palmares in the identification and recognition of remaining quilombola communities. The main objective is to analyze the recent processes of identity recognition and territorialisation of the Rose community, at the beginning of the 21st century, therefore, the analysis of the process of self-identification as a remnant quilombola and of the specific territorialization generated as a result of this identification. Regarding its cultural identity, the Rose community manifests itself as a remnant quilombola of Catholic religiosity, like most of the quilombola communities of Amapá. With regard to its social and political mobilization, its origin was eminently territorial in nature: the first association created in the community in 2002, after a major mobilization against ICOMI - Indústria e Comércio de Minérios SA This company used to deposit wastes the territory of the community. From this threat, the community organized itself for the first time to defend its territory. From the history of its progressive identity and territorial development we can highlight, in 2005, the certification of remaining quilombola community issued by the Palmares Foundation; in 2007 the realization of the anthropological report of the community. The ordinance of the territory of the community came out on December 21, 2016. The general conclusion is that once having access to the identity and legal category of quilombola, and once having become aware of its ancestor of remnant quilombola, the community, in a process in an autonomous political process, engages in a process of self-recognition of identity and a proper territorialization, on the basis of which it has mobilized and mobilized to guarantee the proper titling of its traditional territory and full access to quilombola citizenship , which for example involves access to affirmative action and differentiated education.
