dc.description.abstractThis paper discusses the construction of the notion of symptom in the works of Sigmund Freud, as well as brings an articulation of the symptom with culture, suffering and uneasiness. Thus, the general objective is to investigate the concept of symptom from Freud's work and what it tells us about the relationship between the subject and culture, including today. In order to reach the objective, it was defined that the investigation has a qualitative character, in which a bibliographic research on the theme was done, so that we could have a wide literature to weave an articulation between symptom, uneasiness, and culture. Having this, it was possible to realize that when we went through the Freudian works about the notion of symptom, we verified that it carries a rationality of the unconscious. Besides, it communicates something, that is, it is understood as language, and relates to the subject's life story. Since its meaning is not always easily grasped, intense analytical work is often necessary for its unveiling, in other words, to be brought to consciousness. About the articulation between symptom, suffering, culture, and uneasiness nowadays, we see that the mode of economic production affects the forms of subjectivation, specifically, the neoliberal model that defines a standardization of behavior, denies the revolt contained in suffering and its legitimacy, and raises the discourse of a supposed happiness, emptying the space for debate and discontent with the institutions. Furthermore, uneasiness is a human condition, impossible to extirpate, precisely because human beings do not have an innate place, we are results of social constructions that make us who we arept_BR
dc.description.resumoO presente trabalho aborda a construção da noção de sintoma nas obras de Sigmund Freud, assim como traz uma articulação do sintoma com a cultura, sofrimento e mal-estar. Desse modo, o objetivo geral é investigar o conceito de sintoma a partir da obra freudiana e o que ele nos informa sobre a relação entre o sujeito e a cultura, inclusive na atualidade. Com a finalidade de alcançar o objetivo, foi definido que a investigação tem caráter qualitativo, no qual foi feita uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre o tema, a fim de que pudéssemos ter uma ampla literatura para tecer uma articulação entre sintoma, mal-estar e cultura. Tendo isso, foi possível perceber que ao percorrermos as obras freudianas acerca da noção de sintoma, verificamos que esse porta uma racionalidade do inconsciente. Além disso, comunica algo, ou seja, é compreendido como linguagem, e se relaciona com a história de vida do sujeito. Sendo que seu sentido nem sempre é facilmente apreendido, muitas vezes é necessário intenso trabalho analítico para que ocorra seu desvelamento, em outras palavras, levado à consciência. Sobre a articulação entre sintoma, sofrimento, cultura e mal-estar na atualidade, vemos que o modo de produção econômico incide nas formas de subjetivação, em específico, o modelo neoliberal que define uma normatização de comportamento, nega a revolta contida no sofrimento e sua legitimidade e levanta o discurso de uma pretensa felicidade, esvaziando o espaço de debate e descontentamento com as instituições. Ademais, o mal-estar é uma condição humana, impossível de extirpá-la, justamente porque os seres humanos não possuem um lugar inato, somos resultados de construções sociais que nos fazem ser quem somospt_BR
