dc.description.abstractThis study aims to discuss the importance of a true awakening for plants, and with a view to achieving this feat, we analyze the possible contributions arising from Environmental Education in overcoming the trend called plant blindness. The work discusses how this trend affects the perception and recognition of the relevance of plants, as fundamental living beings for the maintenance of life on Earth. Furthermore, throughout the present study, we bring Environmental Education to the discussion, with the aim of listing some of the collaborations of this perspective of education in mitigating the invisibility of plant life. The methodology used in this work was qualitative research, and the method for obtaining data, bibliographical analysis. Considering that our intention was to develop a study focused on the importance of perceiving and valuing plants, in the course of this work, we dedicated special attention to the problem of plant blindness, which certainly presents itself as one of the obstacles in the fulfillment of our purpose. The results of the discussions make it possible to identify factors that encourage this invisibility of plants, as well as alternatives to revert this regrettable scenario.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoEste estudo tem por objetivo discutir a importância de um verdadeiro despertar para as plantas, e com vistas a se atingir tal feito analisamos as possíveis contribuições advindas de Educação Ambiental na superação da tendência denominada Cegueira Vegetal. O trabalho discorre sobre como esta tendência, afeta a percepção e reconhecimento da relevância das plantas, enquanto seres vivos fundamentais para a manutenção da vida na Terra. Ademais, no decorrer do presente estudo, trazemos a Educação Ambiental para a discussão, com intuito de elencar algumas das colaborações dessa perspectiva de educação na mitigação da invisibilidade da vida vegetal. A metodologia utilizada neste trabalho foi a pesquisa qualitativa, e o método para a obtenção de dados, a análise bibliográfica. Considerando que a nossa intenção foi de desenvolver um estudo voltado para a importância da percepção e valorização das plantas, no decorrer deste trabalho, destinamos uma atenção especial à problemática Cegueira Vegetal, que certamente apresenta-se como um dos obstáculos no cumprimento de nosso propósito. Os resultados das discussões possibilitam identificar fatores que fomentam essa invisibilidade das plantas, bem como alternativas para reverter esse cenário lamentável.pt_BR
