Resumo
The study was conducted at the Departament of Animal Science, Escola Superior de Agricultura de Lavras, Lavras, Minas Gerais, fron July, 1980 to October, 1981. It was designed to compare the voluntary consumption and the nutria nal value of the hays at three different stages. That hay was harvested at 60, 90 and 120 days.
The voluntary consumption and nutritional value of the hays were determined by using 12 (twelve) sheep in metabolic cages. The experiment was divided into three parts Each one was statistically analyzcJ on a 3 x 2 factorial scheme with two repetitions within a completeley randon e;icperimental design. At the end, thc collected data were statistically analyzed as one si»glc experiment.
