Resumo

This study, developed as a Final Undergraduate Project (TCC) for the Visual Arts - Licentiate Degree program, in the face-to-face modality, at the Faculty of Visual Arts of UFG, aimed to analyze the importance of the Non-Mandatory Internship at the Department of Early Childhood Education (DEI) of CEPAE/UFG as a means of understanding and valuing Visual Arts teaching and its contribution to curriculum development for early childhood education. For this purpose, the qualitative research method was used, based on Experience Report combined with literature review, through the development of reflections that can problematize pedagogical practices in art at this stage of basic education; sharing, through experience reports from the Non-Mandatory Internship, how artistic experiences with children triggered different ways of experiencing art; discussing possibilities for improving pedagogical practices in a way that contributes to better learning of procedural content in visual arts. Through this study, it is expected that the reflections and experiences presented here can be used as support and also improved in research, curriculum development, and new experiences.
