Ações para a revitalização linguístico-cultural entre o povo Xambioá: lições desde projetos comunitários

Abstract

Considering that actions to revitalize Indigenous languages in process of displacement are more effective if contextualized in broader sociocultural practices and real communicative interaction between different generations, the present work aims to present the successful experiences with potential of linguistic and cultural revitalization implemented by Karajá Xambioá Indigenous teachers based on sociolinguistic research, as part of the activities of the Intercultural Education graduate course, developed by Federal University of Goiás.
