Resumo
The research, qualitative and exploratory, aims to present the state of knowledge regarding studies on teaching algebra to deaf students. A Content Analysis was conducted on 5 studies from the Theses and Dissertations Database of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel. It was found that research on teaching algebra to deaf students is incipient in Brazil, and that teachers need ongoing training that includes didactic-methodological procedures aimed at teaching algebra. It was concluded that teaching algebra to deaf students poses challenges for teachers and emerges as a fertile field for educational research.
