Resumo
This work addresses the issue of (in)discipline in Early Childhood Education. Having as main
objective the investigation and understanding of the concepts of discipline, indiscipline and Early
Childhood Education. This research also intends to analyze whether indiscipline should be taken
into account in this first stage of Basic Education. As a means of investigation, a bibliographical
research was carried out with a qualitative approach, being carried out research of theses,
dissertations and articles related to the theme, in addition to renowned authors in the subject. As
a way of analyzing the selected texts that deal with issues of discipline/indiscipline in Early
Childhood Education, a data collection instrument was developed, seeking to investigate the bias
of researchers regarding the existence or non existence of indiscipline in Early Childhood
Education and what is the contribution of their research. for the educational field. With the analysis
of the data collected, it was possible to observe that some researchers consider that indiscipline is
present in Kindergarten classes and formulate strategies to reduce this problem, however, as is
revealed in the theoretical framework of this research, at this stage children are in a development
phase that can be marked by crises and that some researchers consider them as indiscipline. The
importance of this research is evidenced in the bibliographical survey when verifying that this
theme is little discussed by researchers, requiring further study and understanding by teachers, in
continuing education, to better understand child development in this age group.
