Um olhar diagnóstico sobre bibliotecas escolares municipais e estaduais de Inhumas

Abstract

This research aims to present an overview of the current state of school libraries in the municipal education system of the city of Inhumas. Presents some considerations about the school library about the concept, mission, functions, goals, resources, staff and library services. Regarding methodological procedures, if treated in a qualitative and quantitative research carried out in the form of a descriptive study. We used a questionnaire that was applied to the library responsible for containing questions related to the operation of the library, schedules, equipment, furniture, collections, physical space. After analyzing the data, it was concluded that the situation of the school library in the municipal schools in the city of Inhumas, surveyed did not show satisfactory, although one can not deny the effort made by teachers and school leaders in the search for alternatives to maintaining libraries, even if partially. The results are picture of several governments who think that politics is only put basic books in the hands of the students and the other a classroom library are refashioned in encouraging students to be good readers of the future. The structuring and functioning of good school libraries need much more effort to train future readers.
