Resumo

The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of circuited physical exercise on the components of physical fitness in women with Metabolic Syndrome. Twenty-five women aged over 20 years, with medical authorization to practice physical exercises, without any pathology or limiting physical alteration to perform physical exercises, and who completed all stages of the research participated in the study. Before and after participating in the physical exercise program, the women were evaluated regarding the components of physical fitness: muscle strength, localized resistance and flexibility, and body composition. The exercise protocol consisted of exercises such as squats, support (arm flexion), stiff, elastic rowing, pelvic lift, development, and front board. Carried out for 12 weeks and divided into 3 weekly training sessions, each lasting 60 minutes. The results of the comparative analysis (p<0.05) showed a reduction in body fat (pre= 39.82%; post= 36.79%), increased flexibility (pre= 21.73 mm; post= 25.14 mm), trunk resistance (pre=24.00 reps; post=36.71 reps) and lower limb resistance (pre=21.61 reps; post=24.00 reps) after the physical exercise program. The proposed physical exercise program proved to be efficient in reducing body fat percentage, increasing trunk and lower limb flexibility and resistance, reinforcing the importance of regular physical exercise to improve physical fitness and promote health.
