Desenvolvendo a autonomia do aprendiz de inglês como L2/LE com o auxílio da técnica da sala de aula invertida: um estudo de caso

Abstract

This study aims at investigating if and how the work with the flipped classroom, a teaching technique through which students must study the course content before discussing about it in class, can help learners of English as a foreign language to become more autonomous. This qualitative case study research was developed in the Language Center at Universidade Federal de Goiás. Fourteen students and the teacher-researcher participated in the research. The data collection tools used were a questionnaire, three video recorded classes, an interview done with the learners at the end of the research period and field notes written by the teacher-researcher. The results point at diverse signs of learner autonomy development.
