Resumo

Design holds tools and responsibilities capable of generating social and environmental transformation. In this work, it is approached as a strategy to value and strengthen endangered Indigenous cultures through the creation of conscious packaging. In the Xingu region, many Indigenous peoples experience cultural erasure, especially through the devaluation of their native languages. By adopting packaging as a powerful, accessible medium of everyday communication, the project uses coffee, a symbol of both Brazilian identity and universality, as a cultural bridge to propose a bilingual packaging system. The research adopts Bruno Munari’s methodology in conjunction with the CICLO Method, focused on sustainable and socially engaged packaging design. The aim is to develop a conscious packaging solution that integrates Brazilian Portuguese with Indigenous languages of the Xingu, promoting linguistic diversity and contributing to the respectful preservation and dissemination of ancestral knowledge.
