Atores da paisagem: o padrão temporal e espacial de focos de queimadas no estado do Amapá entre os anos 2000 e 2019 e as influências das práticas e saberes indígenas

Abstract

The present paper discusses the performance of the main landscape agents in the State of Amapá. To that end, the relations between agents, landscapes, practices and knowledge of indigenous peoples were considered and the landscape units and the behavior of the agents involved were characterized through the spatial and temporal dynamics of forest fires between 2000 and 2019. The data were obtained from the Amazon Fires Database, from Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais – INPE, using the sensor reference from Terra /Aqua MODIS satellites, which allows analyzing the quantity of fi res and their relation with land use, enabling forest fire density mapping. The management of fi re by indigenous peoples transcends time and space and helps us to understand the relations with life cycles, which always regard the fi res and contribute to the maintenance of knowledges.
