Meninos sem pátria, sem voz e sem vez ou a censura e o silenciamento da obra de Luiz Puntel

Resumo

This work is based on the censorship of Luiz Puntel's Meninos sem Pátria, in a brazilian elementary school in 2018. The objective is to verify, historically and discursively, which elements drove the prohibition. Therefore, we will start from the studies of Foucault (1979, 2010, 2011) in discourse analysis, to understand the relations between discourse, society, school and literature. The theoretical path of this article questions the literary work on the scene, its socio-historical insertion, the news that conveyed the censorship, the author's voice and critical reviews available in various digital media, which share the plot and the theme of the work and also analyze the aforementioned censorship. As foundations for analysis of these topics and their relationships, we will start from Colomer (2003, 2007, 2017), Candido (1989, 2004), Eco (1989, 2015), Perrotti (1986), among other literature researchers. It is noted that the censorship of the work, moved by an alleged ideological focus, hurts the right to read and impairs the reader's formation. In conclusion, even in the face of censorship, there are ways and means for the reader to embark on the 'forbidden library'.
