Resumo

The text approaches an investigation in the city teaching line The text approaches an investigation in the city teaching line that articulates that articulates the urban life and the citizenship. It presents an analysis of he urban life and the citizenship. It presents an analysis of concepts and aspects considered important to understand the big contemporary Latin American cities, highlighted by specialists in Geography teacher education from different Latin American countries. Then, it erent Latin American countries. Then, it presents elements identified in interviews with these specialists regarding teacher education strategies aiming the fulfilling of teaching geography to form for everyday urban life. In this sense, paths for this formation are pointed out, which should be theoretically reinforced and implemented more consistently in the practice of formative processes.
