The international campaign promoted by Dove provides the stereotype s breaks of the women s images in the media. It uses at its ads common women which are not professional models. I assume, at this essay, that the visual and verbal representation in the advertisement works as an ideological mechanism to the reproduction and construction of the gender s identities. According to this perspective, and working with the theory of the cultural and gender studies, I identified the ways the women are been represented in the Brazilian edition of the campaign for the real beauty Dove. These representation are not only produced , but either reproduced, considering the meaning that surrounds in the media culture, that are related to the forms by which the conception of gender and sexuality are built to justify characteristics , behaviors and attitudes socially attributed to the women. The analyze reveled the Dove real beauty are related to attributes considered naturally female as the sensuality, seduction and the women s body exhibition to the attractiveness. At this sense, the stereotype s breaks of the women s images weren t verified, once the analyze reveled the adds strength the status quo, through the repetition of the social and cultural standards which keep as a reference the white women with straight hair, middle class, with a visually well cared body, even over weight, and excluding those ones who don t adapt to these standards. The image of the women in the campaign follows rules of representation socially accepted. The huge difference is omitted, once it takes to naturalized images of the women s body which strengths its body exhibition related to social projections to contemplation and consume.Item OS AZULEJOS DE PORTINARI COMO ELEMENTOS VISUAIS DA ARQUITETURA MODERNISTA BRASILEIRA(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2006-12-11) PINTO JÚNIOR, Rafael Alves; COSTA, Luís Edegar de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4800838962828598Turning the glance back to the Brazilian Architecture production carried out between the 1930s- 40s means to have the opportunity of seeing a kind of atemporal conception, which once re-visited, may allow the reflection and production of a self Architecture, strong enough to absorb the external influences without being dominated by them. In this piece of work, the object of study is the resource of Azulejaria , used as a resource for visual composition of environments, legitimating the discourse of that Architecture. It is not expected to analyze the whole production of 1930s-40s above mentioned, but finding throughout the most important buildings where Azulejaria was used, the aesthetic values proposed by that kind of Architecture. For that, it is made use of the convergences among Portinari, Costa and Niemeyer work. Starting from the understanding of the ambience concept concerned about Brazilian Modernism, methodologically, it is tried to relate the concepts, so that it becomes possible to comprehend the relation among the spaciousness, pictorial or architectonical. Azulejaria, as a resource of visual legit, allows understanding not only the spatiality seen from the light of an interdisciplinary approach, but also clarify the consequences of this procedure in the subsequent Architecture, according to the framework which it was delimited. The understanding of Azulejaria as a symbolical element that refers to the National Property work, also allows, according to my way of seeing, a fundamental information as reference to the psychological and artistic aspects involved in the Azulejaria Architecture composition process. As being considered a legit resource of Brazilian Architecture discourse, Azulejaria has had great consequences in the development of Architecture after Pampulha inauguration at the end of the 1940s, and it has attracted a glance towards Brazil in a historical circumstance, which it was, actually, a concomitant necessity to the peripheric countries of finding a cultural identity at the first half of the XXth centuryItem Representações do trabalhador no modernismo brasileiro dos anos 30 e 40: um projeto de trabalho em ensino de arte.(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2006-12-19) BRAGA, Mônica Mitchell de Morais; COSTA, Luís Edegar de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4800838962828598Item Caminhos cruzados artistas entre viagens, olhares e tempos: arte e ciência na expedição Langsdorff: séculos XIX e XX(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2007-02-14) AMBRIZZI, Miguel Luiz; MONTEIRO, Rosana Horio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9262982142956906The research CAMINHOS CRUZADOS. Therefore, the aim of this investigation is the development of a number of artistic learning, amid technical images, specially the eletroeletronic ones of the origin of cinema. In this study the main motivational aspect was the possibility of learning from imagery modalities. In this regard, a number of different ways of learning, involving the visual narratives of Lumiére Brothers as well as George Méliès were planned and developed by me with a group of second grade students at a public state High School in the suburb of Goiânia. The students also produced their visual works discussing problems faced in the daily relations established among students and educators. As reflection on this educational practice, the students, the tutors and I watched and discussed the short films produced by the students of room B guided by the methodological processes of visual culture. Therefore, we discussed and reached conclusions on these narratives mediated by the following questions: What do these images allow us to think? , What relations can we establish and what do they tell about us? Among other arisen questions the students visual narratives caused a diversity of feelings and interpretations about relations of power established in the core of the field-school as well as showing the absence of dialogue, interaction and hearing in the processes of teaching and learning. Finally, for the students, the attention, dialogue and the possibility of complaining about their problems became an alternative for them to be heard. For me, dialogue, action and reflection of the same actions within the context of my pedagogical practice were some of the main concepts in which, we, the people linked to this investigation could experience in a field-school.Item A matriz de gravura como elemento de moda(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2007-04-11) GOMES, Lavínnia Seabra; CLÍMACO, José César Teatini; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4105136553667901This dissertation developed on the line of studies in Contemporaneous Processes of Visual Image Prodution, of the Masters in Visual Culture of Visual Arts University, from UFG (Federal University of Goiás) resulted in plastic productions, were fashion and tecnics of figure, blend toghether forms, materials and images. Phenomenology is taken as the intellectual support on reading the knowledge resulting from this research. In Phenomenology, subject and object are interrelated in the sense of exploring potentialities that do come up as the result of the experience lived in ease but committed attitude regarding the research object. On reflecting on the artistic creation process, the idea is to contribute to the understanding of the process of visual art creation. An additional purpose is to inspire artists and art teachers to produce art and think on their own creative processes as well. Giving thought to art practice is also a methodological process in education and this can result in improving self-knowledge, classroom teaching methodology and artistic skills. The method used for this research includes a field diary called atelier diary. There is an overlapping and crossing between poetics and education in this study, which integrates the artist, the researcher and the teacher. It is felt from this experience that when one creates artistically, the process must come from within, so it is free. The artist should be open to the flow. It is important to access one s memories, feelings and other psychological phenomena. After an artistic work is done, then one goes back and gives it deep thinking. That s one when realizes what concepts are implied. The purpose of any artist should be to be true to himself or to herself. That is, to encounter oneself. Besides, the artist communicates with his or her audience through both conscious and unconscious layers of communication. Blending together creation and reflection, practice and theory can fuel in transformations that stir the full development of one s potentialitiesItem Arte e cotidiano: experiência homossexual, teoria queer e educação(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2007-04-24) MARQUES FILHO, Adair; SILVA FILHO, Raimundo Martins da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1270126774554014Inspired by post-modern uneasiness, contemporary culture opens possibilities for individual and collective manifestations that look for demands restrained by the ideals of modernity. Into this scene I bring authors and ideas as a way to create and occupy spaces in a context of control and repression in relation to queer individuals or, more specifically, queer atitudes. Critical, transgressive positionings formulated and experienced by theoreticians and activists in the areas of sexuality, human rights, arts and social and cultural movements raise questions that are yet, taboos in the contemporary scene and which are intensified in the field of art/education. This investigation privileges aspects of the life history of two artists from Goiânia (Goiás Brazil). These histories are examined from a perspective that move across visual culture, queer theory and art/education, discussing topics such as the appropriation of the masculine body in contemporary art; body as a territory of ideological and political struggles; art/education as a form of transformation and intervention in the ways of seeing, feeling and acting; the process of artistic formation and its importance in cultural and visual experience, and, finally, queer theory, supported by feminist and post-estruturalist thinking, as a way to contravene conventions and norms.Item Visualidades em foco: conexões entre a cultura visual e o Vale do Amanhecer(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2007-08-30) OLIVEIRA, Daniela de; MARTINS, Alice Fátima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2768377569632609Item Construção de identidade de marca, fotografia de moda e erotismo: As campanhas Sisley.(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2007-11-01) SILVA, Vivianne Cabral e; COSTA, Luís Edegar de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4800838962828598This dissertation was developed to the effect to discuss the relations establish and noticed at the present time, between fashion photography and eroticism. The graphic research showed here was made from 2003 to 2005 and is a result of my affective relation with Brasilia through several languages. As I got to know the city, initially having a foreign look over it, I came from the architecture to its history and then to the Nicolas Behr´s poetry. In that constant transit I made the Brasília Gravada engraving series, which became a thinkingthe- city graphic place.Item A transparência e o processo de criação em gravura: produções experimentais(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2008-03-31) SILVA, Alana Morais Abreu e; CLÍMACO, José César Teatini; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4105136553667901This research includes technically the production, scanning / tinge and printing of objects / matrices made in transparent plastic polyethylene. This support provides a reflective study and poetic about the different processes of construction of the work, scoring its relationship with traditional and digital technologies, and poetic thinking about the limits of the field. Initially this study focused on the production in the engraving workshop, which was held in a freedom technical and conceptual in the process of creation. The variations of matrices allowed then concentrate production in two opposite techniques: one is the extraction of material (plastic), and the other in collage of material. With the development of these two techniques deployed, the process experimental restricted itself, producing poetic reflections, conceptual searches and increased volume of production. The technique and the concept of engraving developed the work, the processes and considerations involving the manufacture of objects from / matrices until your impressions or final proposals. As path poetic, was questioned the transparency of the object / matrix being immaterial, missing, and their behaviour in steps of the production process, printing and reflection. This supports research on the work of artist Regina Silveira, in times that discusses the immaterial being, under the aspect of the concepts and ways of doing and understand the engraving. So its work built on the line of poetic visual, the daily the artist is a member of thinking and construction of the work, so as to the document which it uses referring to the process of creation. This research presents technical and conceptual axis as the engraving, which promotes reflection on the presence of transparent as a representation missing.Item Registros de memória em imagens: usos e funções da fotografia mortuária em contexto familiar na cidade de Bela Vista de Goiás (1920-1960)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2008-04-04) BORGES, Déborah Rodrigues; BORGES, Maria Elizia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0672444382021221The research Registros de memória em imagens: usos e funções da fotografia mortuária em contexto familiar na cidade de Bela Vista de Goiás (1920 – 1960) proposes analysis about the ways in which bereaved families used the portraits of the deceased during the mourning period. For this, we fixed the town of Bela Vista de Goiás as the space for research, trying to establish relations between the content expressed in the photographs collected in the town and the cultural context that was around the production and use of these images. The mortuary portrait appeared practically at the same time of the photographic technique, and enjoyed a great social acceptance in Brazil and in other western societies until the middle of the twentieth century. There are certain ideas expressed in these portraits of a Christian collective mentality about death, especially the imaginary about the good and the beautiful death. In Bela Vista de Goiás we found the interference of the Catholic faith in the building and in several uses that families of the town have did with the pictures of their dead, as a way of keeping alive his memory. This study, therefore, try to contribute with discussions about the collective attitudes towards death and death rituals, and reflect about a specific type of use of the photograph in a process of building family memories.Item O ENSINO / APRENDIZAGEM DA LÍNGUA INGLESA NA PERSPECTIVA DA CULTURA VISUAL(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2008-04-07) SAGHIÉ, Najla Fouad; GUIMARÃES, Leda Maria de Barros; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1491866271915819This work focuses on discussing a methodological approach application of teaching based on reading and interpretation of the electronic and printed media image, intending to recognize linguistic elements (foreign words) linked to the subtitles from the ads. In the educational framework, suggesting an English Language teaching integrated to the Visual Culture and Art, contemplating the imagistic culture. This work, we also research the mediator process, that is, the teacher interference as a guide in the involvement between images, students and their representations. This dissertation is a result from a camp research, which on we applied an interpretative and prescriptive study about images from publicity done to twelfth-grade students (two groups formed by fifteen of teenagers) from a private school in Goiânia-GO. Reflecting about verbal language (written in English) and nonverbal (practices of looking images), in order to contribute to the educational context, that means, in the English Language teaching / learning process. This research was supported by theories of Visual Culture, Education, Discourse Analysis and Transdisciplinarity, argued for several theoreticians: Maingueneau (2004), Duncun (2003), Barbosa (2002) among others authors who had contributed, significantly, in order to a comprehension and analysis about this work. This way, we look forward to this investigation could, in some way, provide to go deeper into an interdisciplinary teaching with Visual Culture and the critical reading about the visual manifestations.Item A (in) visibilidade da cultura negra africana no ensino de artes visuais(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2008-04-17) OLIVEIRA, Ivaina de Fátima; GUIMARÃES, Leda Maria de Barros; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1491866271915819This survey aimed to argue about the (in) visibility of African Brazilian culture in visual arts education specifically examining the Law 10.639/2003 that has established the compulsory teaching of Afro-Brazilian history and African Culture in Basic Education. The field of art education is one of two responsible of this mission. I developed a bibliographic survey about the implementation of the law, considering the social movements, multiculturalism concepts and affirmative actions as relevant factors in the process of its implementation. My search started also with a concern arising from the requirement of the law: How we will work with History and Culture Afro-Brazilian Culture and African contends in the teaching of visual arts? In contrast the invisibility of black culture in visual arts education, I brought up some events that present different regard on black culture as source for a critical art pedagogy, aware about the diversity of our cultural roots and concerned to the enhancement of African culture aesthetics in our people heritage. I see the law as a contribution to a transformative praxis for teaching arts for the inclusion of ethnic, social and cultural groups excluded or included in stereotypical ways. But the question remains without answers because these are always incomplete. This research has shown that we have advanced, but still we have the difficult task of generating more questions about the exclusion in a country marked by social, racial and cultural inequalities.Item TESSITURAS DE IDENTIDADES: O Poder em Suas Mãos(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2008-05-12) RICARDO, Luciana de Maya; MARTINS, Alice Fátima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2768377569632609This research project has as reflection field the work developed with a group of inhabitants from Administrative region of Varjão, Distrito Federal, where the artisan weaving, assumed as a mediated language, it propitiated the recognition of some cultural/identities referential, since their origins before arriving Brasilia/Distrito Federal, by ways covered until come to Varjão. The educational practices non-formal had guided actions, dialoguing in a Transdisciplinarity approach with individuals end collective memories of the group. The realities lived in the community, as well as its future pretensions. The referential of identity is little by little disclosed. In this participative research, by conversations that are happening by the sewing press rhythm and through fabrics those are showing themselves little by little, as identities. The time one became present, to tell histories about diverse popular cultures that are the matrix to making and knowing , base of Brazilian education. Creating, as an essential form of the existence, reveals the necessity to express what legitimizes the artesian product and the popular production, which weave powers by means of several hands.
