O pássaro grande e o cajueiro: paisagens tradição e transformação em Uruaçu-Goiás

Abstract

This study investigates the natural and cultural assets of the city of Uruaçu, Goiás, Brazil, in order to document and understand the ways in which expressions of the local cultural landscape are constituted and how they contribute to the formation of local memory, identity, and cultural practices. Drawing upon a situated and sentipensante (feeling-thinking) ethnographic perspective, the research explores the affective bonds established between individuals and the landscapes of the Festa do Caju, the harvesting of the cajuzinho do Cerrado, and the Serra da Mesa Lake. The study seeks to understand the challenges and impacts arising from processes of transformation and adaptation over time. In dialogue with authors such as Jean-Marc Besse, Néstor García Canclini, and Eric Hobsbawm, the research aims to highlight the cultural landscape as a historical and dynamic construction, strongly constituted by affective bonds and transformative processes such as cultural hybridization, through which memory, identity, and local cultural practices are continuously produced and resignified.
