dc.description.abstractThe central objective of that work was analyze the transformations occurred in the state of Goiás, under the aegis of the planning and state-owned intervention promoted by the Bureau of Development of the Center-West SUDECO, between 1975 and 1985. This institution performed important paper in the output of the of Goiás space. His actions majority were directed to the modernization of the agricultural activities, planning the effective integration of the Center-West to the output capitalist and to the dynamic center of the Brazilian economy. The state of Goiás was stage of two big programs of that organ: The Program of Development of the Areas of Closed POLOCENTRO and the Program of the Region Geoeconômica of Brasilia PERGEB. The first one was created with the objective of occupy the zones with cover predominant vegetable of closed, incorporating these lands to the agricultural border, from the job of modern techniques of output; whereas the PERGEB north actions in the sense of develop the bordering areas to the Federal District, finalist a "zone plug" that preserved the cultural, administrative, and political character of the federal capital. The present I study, therefore, was structured from two slopes: an approach of empirical stamp, whose put was of systematize the actions carried out by that Bureau in the of Goiás territory; and, a theoretical reflection about the vision geopolitics of the Brazilian State regarding the occupation of Brazil Central and of the model of development/growth implanted, that had as main center of gravity the "formulae" of planning Spatial economy european in middle part of the century XX. We defend that the programs of the SUDECO, maintained, especially, from the interpretation of the theory of the "Poles of Growth", contradictorily, finished promoting a desconcentração of the investments to national level and a (re) collection in some points of the state of Goiás and of the region Center-West. dc.description.resumoO objetivo central desse trabalho foi analisar as transformações ocorridas no estado de Goiás, sob a égide do planejamento e intervenção estatal promovido pela Superintendência de Desenvolvimento do Centro-Oeste SUDECO, entre 1975 e 1985. Esta instituição desempenhou papel importante na produção do espaço goiano. Suas ações foram majoritariamente direcionadas à modernização das atividades agropecuárias, objetivando a integração efetiva do Centro-Oeste à produção capitalista e ao centro dinâmico-motor da economia brasileira. O estado de Goiás foi palco de dois grandes programas desse órgão: O Programa de Desenvolvimento das Áreas de Cerrado POLOCENTRO e o Programa da Região Geoeconômica de Brasília PERGEB. O primeiro foi criado com o objetivo de ocupar as zonas com cobertura vegetal predominante de cerrado, incorporando estas terras à fronteira agrícola, a partir do emprego de modernas técnicas de produção; enquanto que o PERGEB norteou ações no sentido de desenvolver as áreas limítrofes ao Distrito Federal, formando uma zona tampão que preservasse o caráter político, administrativo e cultural da capital federal. O intuito era frear a pressão por emprego, moradia e serviços sobre Brasília, dotando seu entorno de condições de desenvolvimento capazes de barrar os fluxos migratórios e diminuir a dependência sobre a capital da república. O presente estudo, portanto, foi estruturado a partir de duas vertentes: uma abordagem de cunho empírico, cuja meta foi de sistematizar as ações realizadas por essa Superintendência no território goiano; e, uma reflexão teórica acerca da visão geopolítica do Estado brasileiro com relação à ocupação do Brasil Central e do modelo de desenvolvimento/crescimento implantado, que teve como principal centro de gravidade as fórmulas de planejamento econômico desenvolvidas por alguns teóricos da economia espacial européia em meados do século XX. Defendemos que os programas da SUDECO, sustentados, sobretudo, a partir da interpretação da teoria dos Pólos de Crescimento , contraditoriamente, acabaram promovendo uma desconcentração dos investimentos a nível nacional e uma (re)aglomeração em alguns pontos do estado de Goiás e da região Centro-Oeste. Não cumprindo, nesse sentido, o seu papel de integração do território já que foi reproduzido em escala estadual e regional o que ocorre nacional e mundialmente, no que se refere à localização seletiva dos investimentos e criação de ilhas de riqueza por
