The digital transformation has brought about profound changes in education by integrating digital technologies and active methodologies into the teaching-learning process. This study explores educators' perceptions of the effectiveness of these practices, with a focus on methodologies such as flipped classrooms and Project-Based Learning (PBL). This paper investigates the impacts of digital transformation on public education, with a focus on the integration of active methodologies and educational technologies. Given the gap in the effectiveness and challenges of integration in the Brazilian public context, the research problem focuses on how these approaches and tools act as vectors of change in learning. The object of study of this work is the analysis of the implementation and perception of educational technologies in public educational environments. The aim of the study was to investigate the impact of active methodologies and educational technologies on the transformation of the teaching-learning process in public education, to analyze educators' perceptions of the effectiveness of active methodologies and educational technologies, to identify the main barriers to the implementation of these practices in public schools, to evaluate the impact of active methodologies and educational technologies on student performance and engagement, and to propose strategies for the effective integration of these approaches in the context of public education. The methodology adopted in this work was a descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach, based on a systematic literature review and document analysis. The results indicate that although technologies and active methodologies promote a collaborative and dynamic environment, the lack of infrastructure and the need for continuous teacher training emerge as significant barriers. The integration of technologies and educational methodologies can promote more engaging and meaningful learning. Future prospects point to the need for in-depth studies on practical implementation and its results in different educational realities.
