Resumo
The aim of this article is to discuss possible connections between Ecolinguistics and Enunciative Linguistic Analysis (ELA), proposed by Sinval Martins de Sousa Filho and Sirleide de Almeida Lima. Initially, Ecolinguistics was defined as the study of the relationships between language and the environment. A little later, it was redefined as the study of interactions that occur within the linguistic ecosystem, which, as an integral ecosystem of language, includes the natural, mental and social ecosystems. ELA is a Brazilian proposal designed to be used in language teaching and learning processes. As in Ecolinguistics, the foundations of ELA are based on the concept of language as interaction and as an activity that constitutes thought and knowledge, and on the possibility of a grammar of meanings. This is a qualitative interpretive research that prioritizes the understanding and interpretation of social phenomena. In addition, we conducted a bibliographical research, revisiting and analyzing relevant studies in the areas of Ecolinguistics and Linguistic Analysis. The main theoretical references are Couto (2007), Couto; Couto; Borges (2015), Lima; Sousa Filho (2023) among others.
