Resumo
This monograph addresses the continued training of physical education
teachers in three schools that make up the state system of education in the
municipality of Alexânia - Goiás The research is a qualitative descriptive and
exploratory and data collection was performed by a questionnaire. In the
responses, it was found that, in general, the teacher has complete expertise
graduate, aged 25 years, between 30 hours and 40 hours, with varied teaching
experiences, in terms of time. As main results, we noticed that there is the
intention of teaching qualify and recognition of the importance to continue the
training, however, certain circumstances, such as offering courses in other
locations, and the lack of public policies on teacher training , not recognizing the
opportunities for training within the school institution, the high workload, has
hindered and / or prevented access to training processes. In this context, the
teacher ends up doing a personal quest, opting for private courses and
distance, which shows the interest of the same continuing education. Finally, it
is emphasized that continuing education is a necessary investment in the
search for a quality education.
