Resumo
Consumers want to be sure that all animals being raised for food are treated with respect
during all phases of creation, following the standards of animal welfare and ethical
obligation to make sure that the animals on their farms are well cared for. Brazil is the
largest exporter of chicken meat in the world, measures of well-being are significant in
animal production. For the Brazilian constitution, animals that are created to serve the
food should be fed, housed, transported and killed without result for them anxiety or pain.
The study of animal welfare has characteristics of a multidisciplinary, spanning several
lines of research and also achieves greater profitability and product quality. So we intend
to review aspects related to animal welfare applied to all phases of creation slaughter of
broilers.
