Resumo
The everyday life of modern society has been bombarded by many discourses
produced and reproduced by the media. The students, especially those from
public schools, have been the target of this bombardment. The present paper
is the synthesis of a research done with students from two public schools in
Goiânia and tries to analyze how the educators from these schools who have
been mediators in the reception that their students have of television
programs. What was found was that a democratic administration along with
a pedagogy which has as its principle the dialogue, are fundamental not only
in developing critical receivers, but also participant subjects in all spheres of
society.
