Resumo

The research seeks to know the existence of accessibility and inclusion in the System of Libraries of Federal University of Goiás, Goiânia campus, for visual deficiency. It is proposed to analyze the reality of blind or low-vision students the reach of the specialized information they need for the higher academic life, and also to observe the physical access available in university spaces within the scope of the Library System (SIBI). The methodological approach used for the research is qualitative and the objectives are classified as descriptive-exploratory. It is configured in field research, whose data collection instruments used were semi-structured interviews applied to SIBI, to the librarians responsible for the three units located in the Goiânia campus and questionnaire applied to some toal blind and low-vision students regularly enrolled in the University; and observation. The data show that the university's accessibility center is very active with the library system regarding the management and guidelines for inclusive actions. The Information Accessibility Laboratory (LAI) is the place that provides the necessary resources to students with visual deficiency. It identifies the presence of these students with significant amount in the university space. It punctuates the problems of building structure; however, it dedicates and emphasizes informational and communicational issues.
