The assessment of wind resources becomes increasingly challenging, as it takes into account environmental parameters, such as climate fluctuations, in addition to financial expenses in feasibility studies for the construction of wind farms. For these studies, the estimation of wind potential uses numerical and experimental models as a complement to field measurements. This work refers to the experimental study in a wind tunnel made, available by FURNAS of the atmospheric boundary layer variation from an apparatus known as a flat boundary layer plate, which contains installed pressure probes and a flap mechanism installed on the trailing edge. Different combinations of angles (-10°, +10°, 0°, -20°, +20°) and velocities (6, 13, 20, 26 and 33 m.s-1 ) were made. The results obtained show that, when modifying the flap positioning angle, the boundary layer generated on the plate undergoes significant changes. When analyzing the angle separately for each speed, the boundary layer generated is significantly different for all speeds studied. The wind potential was better at high speeds and had a slight increase at negative flap angles.
