Resumo
The central objective of that work was analyze the transformations occurred in the
state of Goiás, under the aegis of the planning and state-owned intervention
promoted by the Bureau of Development of the Center-West SUDECO, between
1975 and 1985. This institution performed important paper in the output of the of
Goiás space. His actions majority were directed to the modernization of the
agricultural activities, planning the effective integration of the Center-West to the
output capitalist and to the dynamic center of the Brazilian economy. The state of
Goiás was stage of two big programs of that organ: The Program of Development of
the Areas of Closed POLOCENTRO and the Program of the Region
Geoeconômica of Brasilia PERGEB. The first one was created with the objective
of occupy the zones with cover predominant vegetable of closed, incorporating these
lands to the agricultural border, from the job of modern techniques of output; whereas
the PERGEB north actions in the sense of develop the bordering areas to the
Federal District, finalist a "zone plug" that preserved the cultural, administrative, and
political character of the federal capital. The design was stop the pressure by job,
dwelling and service about Brasilia, endowing his I spill of conditions of capable
development of bar the migratory streams and diminish the dependence about the
capital of the republic. The present I study, therefore, was structured from two
slopes: an approach of empirical stamp, whose put was of systematize the actions
carried out by that Bureau in the of Goiás territory; and, a theoretical reflection about
the vision geopolitics of the Brazilian State regarding the occupation of Brazil Central
and of the model of development/growth implanted, that had as main center of
gravity the "formulae" of planning Spatial economy european in middle part of the
century XX. We defend that the programs of the SUDECO, maintained, especially,
from the interpretation of the theory of the "Poles of Growth", contradictorily, finished
promoting a desconcentração of the investments to national level and a (re)
collection in some points of the state of Goiás and of the region Center-West. Not
fulfilling, in that sense, his paper of "integration of the territory" since was reproduced
in regional and state scale what occurs national and world, in what refers to the
selective location of the investments and creation of "islands of wealth".
