For the progress, the following specific objectives were defined: 1) To describe the didactic-pedagogical strategies adopted by physical education teachers to discuss health in the classroom; 2) Identify the bibliometric characteristics of the articles. The methodological approach used is based on qualitative research. The methodological approach used is based on qualitative research. The work was developed through articles that presented a didactic-pedagogical experience with the topic of health at school published in the Cadernos de Formação RBCE. In data collection and analysis, the following was used: a stage that was based on the search and selection of articles, explaining how such articles were arrived at. At the end of all this analysis, it was concluded that the limits of this work are related to the low production and identification of articles that characterized a didactic pedagogical experience, having found 7 articles that fit, even highlighting that it was possible to observe the work of some teachers, both from universities and schools, using teaching strategies and resources, such as photographs, reading assignments and videos.Item Análise das medidas corporais dos atletas de natação paralímpica da Faculdade de Educação Física e Dança da Universidade Federal de Goiás(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-11-21) Cardoso, Gustavo Borges; Dalla Déa, Vanessa Helena Santana; Dalla Déa, Vanessa Helena Santana; Silva, Nathália Costa Melo e; Souza, Glauber Henrique de AlmeidaThe present study aims to analyze the body measurements of Paralympic swimming athletes. The work comprises the analysis of anthropometric data of 6 athletes between 6 and 22 years old enrolled at the Paralympic Reference Center of Goiânia (CRP-Goiânia) who had a frequency of 3 training sessions per week without interruption for a period of 6 months. The study makes a comparison between 2 tests, at the beginning and end of the semester, in relation to body mass index. Analyzes the sociocultural and historical conditions that enable the practice of sports for people with disabilities, such as the history of Paralympic swimming, which grew together with the emergence of the sport and how training played an active role in changing these data throughout the experimental period.Item Atlético Clube Goianiense: percepção dos torcedores quanto aos períodos de declínio (1998/2005) e de reconstrução (2006 a 2024)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-12-05) Silva, Rafaela Cândida Custódio; Guimarães, Juracy da Silva; Guimarães, Juracy da Silva; Neves, Ricardo Lira de Rezende; Marchi Netto, Francisco Luiz deSport is an element that constitutes society at the same time as the social environment constitutes it, categorizing it as a social phenomenon and soccer is formulated on this basis, and when it arrived in Brazil, it went through several phases, starting out as a rich man's game until it became a national passion. This practice arrived in Goiás as the railroad was being built and took hold with the construction of the new capital, Goiânia, where Atlético Clube Goianiense was founded by residents of the Campinas neighborhood, establishing a strong relationship with this neighborhood and its population. Between 1990 and 2005, the club went through a period of crisis due to debts and poor management, but this situation began to be reversed in 2006 and a period of reconstruction began for the club. Thus, the study focuses on researching these two periods through the lens of the fans, with the aim of understanding how much the Atletico fans know about two phases of the team: 1998-2005 (crisis and decline phase) and 2006 - 2024 (reconstruction phase), defining itself as a descriptive-exploratory qualitative research by adopting the questionnaire method to collect the data and analyze them with the construction of units of analysis according to the relevance of the answers. The results showed that the majority of the sample was young, that there was a greater knowledge of the reconstruction phase with a focus on the achievements of that period, but that there were also points about the crisis phase, especially about the condition of the club's stadium. Finally, the data showed that the fans, even with the scenario of decline, did not stop supporting their team. Thus, even with limitations, it is possible to conclude that the fans have a broad knowledge of the processes that occurred in the two phases, they recognize the importance of the stadium for the history of the club and that the boards of directors were decisive in determining the situation of the two phases.Item Autismo, exercício físico e socialização(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-12-06) Garcia, Camylla Rodrigues de Lima; Garcia, Lênin Tomazett; Garcia, Lênin Tomazett; Moura, Sergio de Almeida; Costa, Danyllo dos SantosThis research seeks to investigate what the scientific literature already points out about the contributions of physical exercise to the socialization of autistic children. A bibliographic search was conducted on the Google Scholar platform using the descriptors: physical exercise, autism, and socialization. In the initial selection of texts, a total of twenty-four studies were identified. After refinement and applying eligibility criteria, twenty studies were fully read, and in the end, sixteen studies were selected, with data collection carried out through the technique of note-taking. The main research findings indicate that socialization is primarily addressed from a biological perspective and that the contribution of physical exercise is not clearly defined, being something case-specific arising from the practice of physical exercise. It is proposed that socialization be better conceptualized so that the significant contributions of physical exercise can also be understood in the processes of internal appropriation and subjectivation inherent to educational work.Item Avaliação da força de preensão manual, qualidade de vida e fadiga de mulheres sobreviventes de câncer de mama praticantes de treinamento resistido, durante 12 meses(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-01-26) Santos, Jessika Teodoro; Silva, Rizia Rocha; Silva, Naiany Pereira; Silva, Naiany Pereira; Marques, Vitor Alves; Silva, Rizia RochaResistance training (RT) has been indicated as a non-pharmacological intervention to reduce and improve symptoms caused by oncological treatments. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to compare the levels of handgrip strength (HGS), quality of life and fatigue before and after a resistance training protocol in women survivors of breast cancer. This study is characterized as experimental, lasting 12 months, consisting of 10 women (average 58.80 ± 6.94 years) survivors of breast cancer. The study analyzed HGS using a manual dynamometer. Quality of life and fatigue were assessed using the FACT B+4 instrument (Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy- Breast Cancer + Arm Subscale) composed of the domains: physical well-being (PWB), social/family well-being (SWB), well -emotional well-being (EWB) functional well-being (FWB), specific aspects of breast cancer (BCS), Trial Outcomes Index (TOI), (FACT-B and FACT-G). To analyze the two dependent measurements (pre- and post-intervention), we used the paired student t test (parametric data), described as mean and standard error (SE). And the Wilcoxon test (non-parametric) described in median and SE. When comparing pre- and post-intervention, there was a significant difference for HGS (t (9) 3.627; p = 0.006, d = 1.14 “large”). Between the domains there was a significant difference for SWB with an improvement of 6.10 (SE 2.11) points, (t (9) = 2.883, p = 0.018; d = “large”), FWB with an improvement of 7.60 (SE 2.77) points, (t (9) = 2.736, p = 0.023; d = 0.86 “large”). As for TOI, FACT-G and FACT-B, there was a significant increase post-training, with gains of 13.60 (EP 4.02), 17.10 (EP 5.07) and 21.90 (EP 6.31) points, respectively. With significant differences confirmed for the TOI (t (9) = 3.376, p = 0.008; d = 1.06 “large”), for the FACT-G (t (9) = 3.372, p = 0.009; d = 1, 06 “large”), and for FACT-B (t (9) = 3.468, p = 0.007; d = 1.09 “large”). The Wilcoxon test indicated an improvement in BCS after the intervention, with a post-intervention median of 4.00 (SE 2.14) points (W = 3.500, p = 0.027; rB = 0.84 “large”). However, in relation to fatigue, there was no significant difference between pre- and post-intervention. Conclusion: RT after 12 months of intervention is significantly beneficial in increasing handgrip strength and improving the quality of life of women who are breast cancer survivors.Item Efeito do treinamento resistido na saúde óssea de sobreviventes de câncer de mama: uma revisão narrativa(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-12-05) Pires, Danilo Muniz; Silva, Naiany Pereira; Silva, Naiany Pereira; Silva, Anderson Garcia; Marques, Vitor AlvesThe aim of this narrative review was to synthesize the current literature on the effect of resistance training on bone health in female breast cancer survivors. PubMed and SciELO were searched between May and November 2024. A combination of terms was used: (women with breast cancer OR breast cancer survivors OR survivors OR breast cancer OR survivors cancer AND strength training OR resistance training OR exercise training OR weight training OR exercise OR weight lifting OR weightlifting AND bone density OR bone health OR bone mineral density OR bone turnover). We included experimental studies that compared resistance training with a control group and reported dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry for bone mineral density evaluation. We found 28 studies, but only 4 were pre-selected according to the inclusion criteria. Most of the studies analyzed presented significant data regarding the increase in bone mineral density after interventions using resistance exercises ranging from 52 to 104 weeks. Despite the significant data, the effect sizes of these studies are small; therefore, other interventions such as the addition of aerobic training and/or calcium supplementation may provide clinically relevant results. Hence, more research is needed to determine the most effective resistance training intensity to improve bone health in female breast cancer survivors. By calculating the average of the characteristics in the four studies, we came to the following conclusions. The average age was 58.9 years. The participants in this study were, on average, overweight or obese. However, without the average height of the participants, it is not possible to calculate the average weight.Item Inclusão na educação física escolar: uma proposta pedagógica a partir da análise do curta-metragem “Loop”(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-11-26) Silva, Adna Oliveira; Batista, Aurélia Dhuan Alves; Gemente, Flórence Rosana Faganello; Gemente, Flórence Rosana Faganello; Batista, Aurélia Dhuan Alves; Silva, Ana Paula Salles da; Pereira, Estêvão Maya de MouraThis work is based on the need to debate inclusion in schools, as well as proposing new forms in the teaching-learning process based on the use of media to contribute to inclusive educational practices in school physical education classes. The methodology used in this research is defined as a qualitative and propositional methodology, in which it is based on the principles of Content Analysis, so that the short film Loop (2020) was analyzed and problematized by this foundation. Therefore, the general objective is to evaluate the potential of using short films to deal pedagogically with the contents of Physical Education from the perspective of inclusion addressed in the work Loop (2020). The specific objectives were: to identify the characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based on the representations contained in the short film Loop (2020); and to present a proposal for an inclusive pedagogical intervention that could contribute to the work of the Physical Education teacher. The data was organized into two categories: From resistance to approximation; and Groups of signs of the autistic spectrum. At the end of this study, we found that the short film Loop (2020) can contribute as a pedagogical tool to enhance educational processes, in which its use mediated by teachers will contribute to the formation of reflective, critical, empathetic and deconstructed subjects of prejudice.Item Intuições e memórias: processos criativos na formação em Dança(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-01-29) Silva, Maria Patrícia da; Abrão, Elisa; Abrão, Elisa; Krischke, Ana Maria Alonso; Ferreira, Alexandre DonizeteThis research has the creative processes developed during the Dance degree as its central axis. In an analysis approach composed by three axes. In the first axis, media references and children's memories that were identified as participants in the creative process, in the second axis, the expansion of the concept of dance, and in the third axis, relationships with intuition, as one of the elements that supported the developed creative processes.Item O ensino do mini handebol: perspectivas e práticas pedagógicas de professores envolvidos em projetos oficiais da modalidade(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-11-05) Lacerda, Breno Lima; Krahenbuhl, Tathyane; Krahenbuhl, Tathyane; Rodrigues, Heitor de Andrade; Silva, Leandro AmâncioSport, as a cultural manifestation, plays a significant role in the social and educational development of individuals. Within this context, handball is a team sport that involves strategy, cooperation, and interaction between teams. However, the practice of traditional handball presents challenges when taught to children due to its technical and tactical complexity. To adapt the sport to a younger audience, mini handball was created, a simplified version that promotes the physical, motor, and social development of children in a playful and accessible way. Mini handball was introduced in Brazil with the support of the Brazilian Handball Confederation (CBHb), aiming to create a modality more suitable for children aged 5 to 10 as a sport initiation tool. This practice offers adaptations in the rules, court size, and ball size, providing a simpler and more enjoyable game experience focused on the child's overall development, emphasizing game reduction to suit the children's audience. This study had the general objective of investigating the implementation and teaching-learning process at the mini handball project centers from the perspectives of the teachers involved in this practice, seeking to identify the pedagogical practices involved in teaching the sport. The specific objectives were to investigate the main goals and purposes of mini handball classes, analyze teachers’/coaches’ perspectives and intentions regarding the teaching processes, and assess the most relevant aspects of mini handball lessons based on teachers’/coaches’ perceptions; and analyze the most relevant aspects of mini handball classes, based on the perception of teachers/coaches. The study followed a qualitative methodology, using semi-structured interviews with teachers and coordinators of mini handball centers distributed throughout the country. Content analysis of the interviews identified the main pedagogical practices adopted by the teachers and revealed their perceptions of the impact of mini handball on children's development. The qualitative data analysis resulted in five main categories: (1) Teaching methodologies and forms, (2) Teaching objectives and impact on children, (3) Challenges in implementation and the future of mini handball, (4) Inclusion and accessibility, and (5) Teachers' motivation. These categories guided data interpretation and revealed the most significant aspects of the modality's implementation. The results indicate that mini handball has been well received in schools and sports institutions, with teachers highlighting its relevance as a tool for sport initiation. The adaptations in the rules, court dimensions, and ball size make the practice more accessible to children, allowing them to develop fundamental skills in a fun and collaborative way. Furthermore, the teachers emphasize the importance of dynamic and flexible planning that considers the individual characteristics of the students and encourages active participation from everyone. However, the teachers recognize some challenges in implementing mini handball, such as a lack of resources and adequate infrastructure in some centers, as well as the need for greater institutional support to expand the practice in more regions of the country. Therefore, mini handball is an appropriate sport for children's initiation, providing a positive and inclusive experience. However, to ensure its long-term growth and success, increased investment in infrastructure and teacher training is essential, along with public policies that encourage sports participation from an early age.Item O modelo de ensino dos jogos para compreensão: análise dos artigos publicados em revistas científicas da Educação Física no Brasil(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-12-03) Alvarenga, Luccas Soares; Rodrigues, Heitor de Andrade; Rodrigues, Heitor de Andrade; Inácio, Humberto Luís de Deus; Santos Júnior, Eugênio Lopes dosFrom the critique of the traditional sports teaching model, the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) model, known in Portuguese as Modelo de Ensino dos Jogos para a Compreensão (MEJC), emerges as a methodology for teaching sports through the development of game skills, emphasizing the understanding of tactical and technical abilities contextualized in small-sided games. Considering the relevance of TGfU in the international context and its progressive adoption in Brazil, the objective of this study was to identify and analyze scientific articles produced on TGfU in the main Brazilian Physical Education journals. In the scope of qualitative research, this study aligns with the principles of a State of the Art review. We selected eight (8) journals from the Qualis CAPES - Physical Education category, after searching the journal websites and the "Scielo" indexer using descriptors such as "TGfU," "Teaching Games for Understanding," "Ensino de Jogos Para Compreensão," and "Ensino do Jogo Para Compreensão." Articles in Portuguese were selected, in which at least one of the descriptors was present in the title, abstract, or keywords. This resulted in a total of ten (10) articles, which were analyzed considering the following elements: temporal distribution of production; distribution among the analyzed journals; types of articles; authors and their affiliations; and, finally, themes, methods, discussions, and results of each article. The results indicate a relatively small number of published articles (10), with the first publication in 2009 and a temporal distribution that does not follow a growing pattern over the years. Additionally, the geographical distribution of scientific production allowed identifying the concentration of journals based in the South and Southeast regions of Brazil, but no single journal concentrated a significant number of articles, rather a distribution among them. Regarding the types of articles, the majority (80%) involve theoretical research, specifically essays, indicating an embryonic and recent research stage concerning TGfU. As for the authors and their affiliations, 21 researchers from 10 different universities contributed to the publication of the articles, with only four of them participating in more than one production. In terms of themes, methods, discussions, and results of each article, four themes were identified: TGfU and its articulation with other teaching models and tools; analysis of the scientific discussion on TGfU; TGfU and its contributions to sports teaching; and TGfU in school physical education. Item Perfil e prevalência de lesões em atletas femininas de ginástica artística: uma análise exploratória(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-01-22) Brito, Gabriela Moura; Silva, Rizia Rocha; Silva, Rizia Rocha; Abib, Leonardo Trápaga; Morais, Naiane SilvaArtistic gymnastics is a sport characterized by the execution of skills on various apparatuses, demanding that gymnasts perform complex movements, such as flights, inverted positions, and rotations. With the increasing difficulty level of these skills, there has been a greater demand on the gymnasts' efforts. This effort, in turn, raises the risk of injuries. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the profile, prevalence, and aspects related to the occurrence of injuries in female artistic gymnastics. It investigates attendance, training time, and the initiation into the practice of artistic gymnastics, and aims to identify the types, mechanisms, and anatomical location of the most frequent injuries among gymnasts, as well as to identify the main gymnastics apparatuses most associated with injuries. The sample consisted of 15 female artistic gymnastics athletes, aged 9 to 17, from a training center in Goiânia. Data collection was carried out through individual interviews and the application of a semi-structured questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical techniques. The study revealed that the frequency of injuries in female artistic gymnasts is high, with the lower extremities being the most affected. The main causes of injuries were identified as improper landing in acrobatics and gymnastic elements. Additionally, it was observed that a lack of strength training and moderate consistency in physical preparation training could be related to the occurrence of injuries.Item Pibid e Residência Pedagógica: a produção científica sobre a formação de professores de Educação Física(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-12-06) Araújo, Daniel de; Zanotto, Luana; Zanotto, Luana; Rodrigues, Anegleyce Teodoro; Vilarinho Neto, SissiliaThe Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Grants (PIBID) and the Pedagogical Residency (RP), as teacher training programs, have been gaining ground and new contours for almost two decades in Brazil. As a driver of academic and professional training, the production of knowledge in the field of Physical Education (PE) has had a direct impact on new perspectives for training in the area. With this in mind, this study aims to map and analyze the scientific production on PIBID and RP in the training of PE teachers available in national journals, as well as to discuss the relevance of the programs in the teacher training process. As a methodological resource, we adopted a literature review in A1, A2, A3 and A4 journals from 2008 to 2023. The results show that there is a scarcity of research on the subject in the chosen journals, with ten studies on PIBID and PE and only one on PR and PE. When analyzing the data, we noticed the significant emphasis of PIBID on teacher training, expressed in investigations that permeate pedagogical practices, training curricula, the insertion and valorization of the PE component in schools, initial and continuing teacher training, as well as the difficulties of working in PE.Item Prevalência, métodos e desfechos da rápida perda de peso em judocas: uma revisão(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-11-25) Silva, Pablo Henrique Pereira da; Abib, Leonardo Trapaga; Abib, Leonardo Trapaga; Sousa, Marcel Farias de; Freitas, João Victor Rosa deThe practice of rapid weight loss (RWL) is common in sports with weight-division categories, especially during pre-competition phases, with the aim of competing in lower weight categories than the athlete's usual weight, in the expectation of gaining a physical advantage over opponents. This study aims to review the prevalence, methods, and outcomes of this practice in judokas, considering its impacts on physical, biological, and psychological parameters. The review included original articles from the PubMed and SciELO databases that examine the use of RWL in athletes of different ages and competitive levels. A total of 10 studies were selected, many of which revealed adverse effects associated with RWL, such as significant dehydration, loss of balance, reduced muscle strength and endurance, as well as impaired performance and increased anxiety, anger, and fatigue. Various RWL methods were identified, ranging from fluid and food restriction to the use of sweat-inducing clothing and increased training intensity. The findings emphasize the need for safe strategies and proper monitoring for athletes engaging in these practices, particularly in high-level competitions. Given the potential risks to the physical and mental health of judokas, it is recommended that sports federations and coaches adopt guidelines to minimize these impacts, prioritizing the athlete's well-being and promoting a more balanced and safe approach to competitive weight management.Item Projeto Handebol, Inclusão e Cidadania: análise dos significados e contribuições atribuídos por ex-participantes ao projeto(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2024-12-04) Alves, Davi Pereira; Rodrigues, Heitor de Andrade; Rodrigues, Heitor de Andrade; Gemente, Florence Rosana Faganello; Zanotto, LuanaSocial inclusion sports projects have become notable as important social policies aimed at children, adolescents, and youth. Considering the relevance of such projects, this research aims to investigate the contributions of the "Handball, Inclusion, and Citizenship" project from the perspective of former participants. The specific objectives were: (1) to identify the relationship of former participants with sports prior to joining the program; (2) to analyze the experiences lived and developed during the program; (3) to detect the possible outcomes of the program in the participants' lives years after its conclusion. The research universe comprises the "Handball, Inclusion, and Citizenship" project, developed in public schools in the metropolitan region of Goiânia for children and adolescents. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight (8) former participants of the project for data collection. The Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) method was used for data analysis. The results indicate that the project was the first environment where participants had in-depth contact with sports practices, and that the influence of friends was the main reason for joining. Regarding the period spent in the project, the positive environment provided by good relationships with peers and teachers, seen as a support network, was a determining factor for improved school coexistence and increased affection for sports and the desire to train. After the end of the project, participants reported contributions related to the development of values, positive interpersonal skills, responsibility, and influence on career choices. Therefore, the experience is seen as successful and capable of leaving marks in adult life, both in relation to sports practices and in the social sphere. It is concluded that the project provided significant experiences in the lives of the participants, highlighting that past sports experiences can impact adult life.
