Item As lutas anticoloniais em Guiné-Bissau e Cabo-Verde sob a perspectiva ideológica e a trajetória política de Amílcar Cabral (1960-1974)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2018-09-14) Abadia, Danúbia Mendes; Pinto, João Alberto da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4246394797193440; Pinto, João Alberto da Costa; Monteiro, Artemisa Odila Candé; Barbosa, Pedro; Garcia, Alysson Fernandes; Maciel, DavidThe following aim of this dissertation is to discuss the process of anticolonial liberation struggle in Guinea Bissau and Cape Verde from the political and ideological trajectory of PAIGC leader Amilcar Cabral. Thus, we address the impact of Portuguese colonialism in Guinea and Cape Verde to trace the particularities of each one of the former colonies that, although under the same exploitation regime, present different formations, which will be reflected in the entire process of anticolonial struggle. In this sense, in denying assimilation to the colonial culture, the 'Cabral Generation' developed the epistemological breakdown that made possible the anticolonial struggles in Africa. After completing the Agricultural Engineering degree in Lisbon, Cabral returned to Guinea-Bissau determined to mobilize the fight against colonialism. The experience of Amílcar Cabral as an agricultural engineer became important in the work of mobilization and in the knowledge of the various peoples and their realities. Also called "engineer of consciences", we consider the intellectual framework that was bequeathed by Amilcar Cabral, as an African theorist of armed struggle who also used theory as an efficient weapon against colonialism. For Cabral, to study was important for every revolutionary. Beyond the economic and political liberation of colonialism, it was fundamental the liberation of consciences. Hence, Cabral's thoughts highlights the maintenance of traditional practices, to the same extent that hold science and knowledge; the party's schools functioned in the liberated areas of Portuguese domain, as well as the health centers and the people’s warehouses, where the community participated in the guerrilla deployments; women also formed the army of liberation, and the fight for the liberation of women was one of the axes of the party. The PAIGC guerrilla created a state within the colony from the practices of self-organization and self-management of armed struggle. Amílcar Cabral was cowardly murdered before seeing Independence materialize, however many of his thoughts remain a landmark for political decolonization, of minds and hearts, as the liberation of the African people.Item Dinâmica de competição agropecuária pelo uso do solo e implicações para a sustentabilidade dos recursos hídricos e remanescentes florestais(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2012-09-21) Abdala, Klaus de Oliveira; Lee, Francis; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1763392088652134; Ribeiro, Francis Lee; Ferreira Júnior, Laerte Guimarães; Miziara, Fausto; Oliveira, Gilca Garcia de; Nogueira, Jorge MadeiraAccording to the IBGE is possible to identify four main complexes: cattle, soybeans, corn and sugar cane, responsible for the use and occupancy of approximately 97% of the soils. This thesis presents a survey of impacts on consumptive use of water resources, soils and forest remnants, from the dynamics of land use and specialization of municipalities in the state of Goiás in the complexes: Cane sugar, soybeans, corn and cattle. The results confirmed the hypothesis worked and indicated that municipal specialization in these complexes is the result of the comparative advantages of regions and that this specialization locate geographically environmental impacts analyzed. Therefore, working with the hypothesis that this specialization is the result of the exploitation of municipalities comparative advantages by competitive advantages of complexes in question. In response to questions for investigation, it was possible to identify the comparative advantages of the municipalities and the main competitive advantage of the complexes. In addition, indicators were generated from environmental risks to agriculture and a location model of these complexes as a function of the comparative advantages of the municipalities, which constitute subsidies to the establishment of institutions and public policies for regional development, the economic ecological and agro-ecological zoning and coordination between agricultural and environmental policies.Item Escalonamento de recursos em redes LTE utilizando processo envelope de tráfego multifractal e curva de serviço mínima(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2018-12-14) Abrahão, Diego Cruz; Vieira, Flávio Henrique Teles; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0920629723928382; Vieira, Flávio Henrique Teles; Sousa, Marcos Antônio de; Lemos, Rodrigo Pinto; Lima, Marcos Antônio Cardoso de; Cardoso, Kleber VieiraIn this work, a variation of the MWM (Multifractal Wavelet Model) model is proposed for network traffic flows, in such a way that its parameters are estimated adaptively. Next, it proposes an envelope process of network traffic based on the parameters' adaptive estimation of this model, whose final objective is to provide quality of service (QoS) in real time. The proposed envelope is compared to the main envelopes processes known in the literature, that are based on traffic models, such as: Brownian Motion (Bm), Fractional Brownian Motion (fBm) and Multifractal Brownian Motion (mBm). This work investigates the use of F-OFDM multi-carrier modulation, which is one of the candidates for 5G networks. It is known that the LTE / LTE-A (Long-Term Evolution) network uses Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) technique that have the function of adjusting the modulation order and code rate based on the user's channel state information, in order to achieve a Block Error Rate (BLER) lesser than 10%. In this work, simulations of the LTE downlink are carried out using OFDM and F-OFDM multicarrier modulation, with the objective of mapping the BLER as a function of SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio). This mapping is necessary for the network to adjust the modulation and code scheme appropriate to each user. It's also proposed an adaptive algorithm for resource allocation in the LTE/LTE-A downlink, with admission control of the users. This algorithm aims to improve the performance of some network parameters and to guarantee maximum delay, through of following information: backlog, channel condition and user’s traffic behavior. In order to control the admission of users and to estimate the maximum delay of the network, a minimum adaptive service curve of the LTE / LTE-A network is proposed. The proposed algorithm for resource allocation is compared with several scheduling schemes known in the literature through computational simulations of different LTE network scenarios using OFDM and F-OFDM multi-carrier modulation.Item Variação da energia livre na hidratação de séries homólogas de poliol, glicina e peptídeos ANK usando modelos contínuo e discreto de solvente(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2017-05-12) Abreu, Leonardo Martins de; Fileti, Eudes Eterno; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5294929829300325; Fonseca, Tertius Lima da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8193800922148980; Fonseca, Tertius Lima da; Moreno, Roberto Rivelino de Melo; Fujimoto , Milton Massumi; Vale, Renato Pessoa; Silva, Ladir Cândido daUsing continuum and discrete solvent description models, we have investigated the chain length dependence of hydration free energy of polyol, glycine and ANK peptides. In this work this property values were calculated using thermodynamics integration with classical molecular dynamics simulation of one solute molecule to around 1000 solvent molecules. In addition, hydration free energy of polyol, glycine and ANK peptides were also calculated using polarizable continuum model in combination with the universal solvation model. Dipole moment and linear polarizability of the three systems had been also calculate using the PCM method. Our MD results show that ΔG exhibit a linear pattern with the size of glycine and ANK chain as well as observed for organic compounds in literature. In opposition, polyol’s ΔG shows a nonlinear behavior with increasing chain length and for this group of molecules it were found that water solvating effects have an important role over the polyol’s electric properties. These results suggest that in the case of polyols not only variation of polarizability but also variations of dipole moment in going from vacuum to water can influence the behavior of the free energy of hydration. All DM and PCM calculations were performed using the GROMACS 4.5 and the GAUSSIAN09 programs, respectively.Item Experiências femininas na política goiana. Dona Gercina: entre o público e o privado(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-06-05) Abreu, Mayra Regina Saraiva de; Ferreira, Denise Paiva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0144446693015854; Ferreira, Denise Paiva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0144446693015854; Prá, Jussara Reis; Souza, Marta Rovery de; Eliane, Gonçalves; Bitencourt, Liberdad BorgesSome social groups, such as women, by virtue of their status in social relations and the social representations that explain them, were silenced in the authorized and imposed narratives due to the national memory. This procedure generated damage to the female identity , insofar as reproduced, in the present , the notion that women were absent from large and small events that marked social life in our society , and engaged to reaffirm the values that have kept women away from the world of politics. “Experiências femininas na política goiana. Gercina Borges: entre o público e o privado.” [“Women's experiences in Goiás policy. Gercina Borges: between the public and the private. "] attempts to explain the causes of social silence among the female experiences in politics and the persistent lack of prestige of this social group by theoretical references from the modern political thought, such as the concepts of public and private sphere and gender. At the same time, making use of the experience of Gercina Borges Teixeira and by means of oral history and combination of other sources, presents the joint that, over time, in Goiás, they created to act in this field without restrictions imposed on women. Finally, it examines the motivations present in the care rendered by the wives of candidates and heads of the government, associating this action to the political sphere, with the intent to withdraw the humanitarian and innocent character with which it was covered.Item Dos fundamentos à teoria da convenção em Jean-Jacques Rousseau(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-08-28) Abreu, Wilame Gomes de; Reis, Helena Esser dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1045681574037243; Reis, Helena Esser dos; Souza, Maria das Graças de; Nascimento, Milton Meira do; Sahad, Luiz Felipe Netto de Andrade e Silva; Moscateli, RenatoThis research comprises the foundations that make up the formulation and explanation of the theory of the convention in the political works of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, whose philosophical approach delineates in the ethico-political scope. The main objective of this thesis is to investigate the foundations of political thought from the conditions of possibility and validity in the theoretical-practical field with the purpose of explaining the formulation of the theory of the convention in Jean-Jacques Rousseau. So that, from the point of view of the problematization, the research that resulted in this systematization was motivated by the fact that the formulation and explanation of the convention locates its thread in an ontological foundation. Is it possible to project philosophical studies of such obvious rational data? It has been accepted since Galileo that unanswered questions are not intelligent, precisely because it contains no possible answers. What is the stimulus if they seem so obvious or feasible? The fact is, properly, the supposition that the social order results only from a convention; that convention is not a reality derived from nature, but only an act of human will, whose possible occurrence is made by the convergence of interests. There are, then, two problems, one unfolds in the other, so that the first refers to the foundations of convention, and the second responds to the formulation of convention theory. First, how is convergence of interests possible for the attainment of the general will within civil society? What would make a man want to agree, submit to a body other than himself? - Because? Perhaps if he had been left alone under the care of provident nature his life would be sufficiently well supplied, to whose real delivery he would have made all the necessities that we longed for outside her, apart from having no meaning for him, would have been out of his reach. Secondly, how is the convergence of interests for the attainment of the general will possible without the need to suppress the conflict of interests within civil society and their competition between individuals and parties? Thus, the objective is the formal radicality of the Contract against the factual to clarify the anthropological, psychological, historical, political and juridical foundations, to which we think to constitute as a real unit of the theory of the convention in Jean-Jacques Rousseau. It has also been sought to show that convergence of interests is possible for the attainment of the general will without the need to suppress the conflict of interests within civil society and their competition between individuals and parties. Convention as the spirit of the social order indicates that the continuity of the possible basis of conventional unity depends on the cultivation and substantial re-signification of the dignity of its components. So that the possibility of perpetuity of the obligations is conditioned to the real effectiveness of protection of the individual members of society. This leads us to infer that the duration of the body politic can be measured by the size and depth of care devoted to each of its parts.Item Peso, idade e perfil bioquímico, hematológico e hormonal de novilhas Nelore à puberdade(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2013-07-12) Abud, Lucas Jacomini; Fioravanti, Maria Clorinda Soares; Arnhold, Emmanuel; Sereno, José Robson Bezerra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0848686465662209; Sereno, José Robson Bezerra; Saturnino, Helton Mattana; Lopes, Dyomar Toledo; Melo, Eduardo de Oliveira; Moura, Maria Ivete deThe age of puberty is a feature of great importance in beef cattle for it allows the anticipation of the reproductive activity of females and increases the productivity of the livestock sector. Anticipation of the puberty is possible due to the influence of environmental and genetic factors on this feature. The interaction of pubertal phisiology with these factors is not fully understood, hindering the application of managements for its reduction. To better understand the puberty physiology in heifers, we studied the involvement of the hormone leptin, leptin receptor gene and biochemical and hematological profiles in the occurrence of puberty. The study was conducted following 56 heifers raised on pasture during 17 months. Blood samples were collected at intervals of two months for biochemical characterization, hematological profiles, and to measure progesterone and leptin concentrations as well as the leptin receptor gene sequence. We observed a correlation between the occurrence of puberty and total protein, globulin, phosphorus, magnesium, alanine fosfatase (ALP), aspartate aminotranferase (AST), the number of red blood cells, hematocrit and platelets. In the present study it was not possible to define the role of biochemical and hematological components with the occurrence of puberty, thus more studies are necessary to better understand this relationship. A better understanding of the involvement of leptin in the pubertal phisiology more detailed study on leptin receptor gene, seeking a reliable molecular marker for sexual precocity, are also necessary.Item Inexact variants of the alternating direction method of multipliers and their iteration-complexity analyses(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-03-27) Adona, Vando Antônio; Gonçalves, Max Leandro Nobre; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7841103869154032; Melo, Jefferson Divino Gonçalves de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8296171010616435; Melo, Jefferson Divino Gonçalves de; Gonçalves, Max Leandro Nobre; Prudente, Leandro da Fonseca; Pérez, Luis Roman Lucambio; Andreani, RobertoThis thesis proposes and analyzes some variants of the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) for solving separable linearly constrained convex optimization problems. This thesis is divided into three parts. First, we establish the iteration-complexity of a proximal generalized ADMM. This ADMM variant, proposed by Bertsekas and Eckstein, introduces a relaxation parameter into the second ADMM subproblem in order to improve its computational performance. We show that, for a given tolerance ρ>0, the proximal generalized ADMM with α in (0, 2) provides, in at most O(1/ρ^2) iterations, an approximate solution of the Lagrangian system associated to the optimization problem under consideration. It is further demonstrated that, in at most O(1/ρ) iterations, an approximate solution of the Lagrangian system can be obtained by means of an ergodic sequence associated to a sequence generated by the proximal generalized ADMM with α in (0, 2]. Second, we propose and analyze an inexact variant of the aforementioned proximal generalized ADMM. In this variant, the rst subproblem is approximately solved using a relative error condition whereas the second one is assumed to be easy to solve. It is important to mention that in many ADMM applications one of the subproblems has a closed-form solution; for instance, l_1-regularized convex composite optimization problems. We show that the proposed method possesses iteration-complexity bounds similar to its exact version. Third, we develop an inexact proximal ADMM whose rst subproblem is inexactly solved using an approximate relative error criterion similar to the aforementioned inexact proximal generalized ADMM. Pointwise and ergodic iteration-complexity bounds for the proposed method are established. Our approach consists of interpreting these ADMM variants as an instance of a hybrid proximal extragradient framework with some special properties. Finally, in order to show the applicability and advantage of the inexact ADMM variants proposed here, we present some numerical experiments performed on a setting of problems derived from real-life applications.Item Do paraíso terrestre à Nova Akhetaton: misticismo e política na construção de Brasília (1955 – 1990)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-12-20) Afiune, Pepita de Souza; Araújo, Alexandre Martins de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6195011167649888; Araújo, Alexandre Martins de; Caes, André Luiz; Reis, Marcelo Rodrigues dos; Silveira, João Paulo de Paula; Capel, Heloísa Selma FernandesThis study attempts to solve multiple and intricate phenomens that, historically, have been making Brasilia a mystical city. In it, it is possible to see how elements of a mystical nature engendered the policial plot of the history of the new Brazilian capital, with the writings of Dom Bosco, considered prophetic, the starting point of such mystical representations. A project considered audacious for its time, such as the construction of a new capital of an extensive country, migrating it to the interior of the territory, needed to legitimize itself. In this sense, the prophetic character of Don Bosco’s writings was preponderant, since Brazil in the fifties had a mostly catholic population, wich is whay the city had its spiritual baptism in 1957 under the mantle of the Catholic Church. During the research, it was possible to see that Juscelino Kubitschek maintained close relationships with several groups called mystics or esoterics, wich leads me to infer that the president outlined a more plural religious tendency than historiography has been able to show. To investigate this and other mystical phenomena involved in the construction of Brasilia, I concentrated my field research within four institutions present in the Federal District: Vale do Amanhecer, Legião da Boa Vontade, Maçonaria e Eubiose. These institutions, in particular, from the beginnings of the construction of Brasilia, continued to give materiality to the mystical character of the capital, also becoming importante tourist centers. Seeking to understand the mystical representations and images present in Brasilia from the sociological approach called “multiple modernities”, I recognize the religious character of modernity, less as an inhibitory factor of religious opportunities and more as a mechanism of potentiation and promotion of dialogues between tradition and new religiosities. Thus, this research seeks to trace, between the years 1955 to 1990, the contiguous presence of four historical landscapes in Brasilia: The first named Earthly Paradise; the second, the Promised Land; the third, the Capital of the Third Millennium; and the fourth, the New Akhetaton.Item Impacto da vacinação com a PCV10 na morbidade hospitalar por pneumonia no Brasil: análise de série temporal interrompida(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-08-19) Afonso, Eliane Terezinha; Bierrenbach, Ana Luiza; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4763149D7; Andrade, Ana Lúcia Sampaio Sgambatti de; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4783408H2; Andrade, Ana Lúcia Sampaio Sgambatti de; Nishioka, Sérgio; Weckx, Lly Yin; Siqueira Neto, João Bosco; Habahi, MarceloBACKGROUND: Pneumonia causes substantial morbidity and mortality in all age groups around the world. The 10-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV10) was introduced into the routine infant immunization in Brazil, free of charge, in March 2010. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact PCV10 vaccination on rates of all cause pneumonia hospitalizations one year and three years after its introduction in Brazil. METHODS: We conducted two interrupted time series analysis studies. The first evaluated only the direct effect of PCV10 vaccination, in five Brazilian cities (Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Porto Alegre, São Paulo and Recife), and was conducted one year after starting the vaccination. The second study evaluated the direct and indirect impact (individuals not vaccinated) of PCV10 vaccination in Brazil, and was conducted three years after vaccination. We used data from the Brazilian Hospitalization System from 2005-2013. The main outcome was monthly rates of all-cause pneumonia hospitalizations identified by ICD-10 codes J12-J18. We used hospitalization rates for congenital malformations and non-respiratory causes as a comparison groups. The time-series analysis was based on a generalized linear model. Pneumonia rates observed in the pre-vaccination period were used to estimate the hospitalization rates in the post-vaccination period of each study, adjusting for seasonality and secular trends. To estimate the direct (2-23 months of age) and indirect (≥5 years of age) impact of PCV10 vaccination, we calculated the percentage change in hospitalization rates, as the observed divided by the predicted rates of hospitalization in the post-intervention period minus one, with respective 95% CI and p values. The number of all-cause pneumonia hospitalizations averted by vaccination was calculated taking into account the difference between the predicted and observed number in the PCV10 post vaccination period. RESULTS: One year after introduction of PCV10 in Brazil, significant declines in hospitalizations for pneumonia in children aged 2-23 months were noted in Belo Horizonte (28.7%), Curitiba (23.3%), and Recife (27.4%). After three years of the introduction of PCV10, 461,519 pneumonia hospitalizations were averted in Brazil, and a significant decrease in rates of pneumonia hospitalization was observed in unvaccinated individuals aged 5-39 years, ranging from 14.1-17.4% (p<0.05). In contrast, an increased trend in pneumonia hospitalizations (p=0·004) was observed for elderly (≥ 65 years). CONCLUSION: Vaccination with PCV10 in Brazil was associated with reduction of pneumonia hospitalizations in vaccinated individuals. Herd effect was observed in individuals aged 5-39 years after three years of vaccination. Potential reasons for the increased trend in pneumonia hospitalization rates in the elderly should be investigated.Item O Hospital Real Militar: saúde e enfermidade em Villa Boa de Goyaz (1746-1827)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-03-12) Age, Mônica de Paula Pereira da Silva; Santos, Dulce Oliveira Amarante dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2317207486041256; Santos, Dulce Oliveira Amarante dos; Anzai, Leny Caselli; Mendonça , Manuela; Salomon, Marlon JoisonThis study aimed at reconst ruct ing the history of the Hospi tal Real Mi l i ta r de Vi l la Boa de Goyaz from 1746 to 1827. It is a new theme in the historiography produced in Goiás and as such i t wi l l certainly be frui t ful to the comprehension of the history of Medicine in this state. I star t f rom the principle that inst i tut ions, which are not and have never been stat ic real i t ies, have thei r histories and roles properly establ ished, and this is one of the reasons that make them subject to analys is. Based on this research object , i t is possible to reveal : the social imaginary that was p resent in Goiás about the hospi tal ; the intervent ions of the Kingdom, wi th reference to Medicine , in the Brazi l ian colony; the Portuguese -Brazi l ian medical theories and pract ices about the body, heal th, cure, and disease; the structure of the Portuguese - Brazi l ian medical assistance in that period; the hospi tal treatment of fered to soldiers; the most recurrent diseases in the captaincy of Goiás; the therapeut ic and prophylact ic resources known and used in that period, both in the Kingdom and in the Colony; among other aspects. The main sources used in the study are: the Regulat ions for the Mi l i tary Hospi tals; the Regulat ions for the Physician-Major and the Surgeon-Major; the announcements of contract for the tasks needed in the hospi tal operat ion; the books about diet and medical prescript ions, as wel l as the l ist of medicines requested and received to fi l l up the drugstore of the hospi tal ; and the medical guides and manuals that ci rculated in the Kingdom and in i ts domains. We emphasized that the increase of mi l i tary members in the captaincy of Goiás was preponderant in the const ruct ion of a mi l i tary hospi tal before the construct ion of a civi l one in the region. Af ter al l , the soldiers were also those who cont ributed to keeping the assets of the Kingdom in Goiás, rest raining the cont raband of gold, helping in the col lect ion of the quinto, and imposing the order in the region. The hospi tals reveal , through their historical t rajectories, thei r ut i l i ty wi th regards to the heal th and the infi rmi ty of a part icular s ociety.Item Parâmetros hematológicos e concentração de óxido nítrico salivar em atletas de Jiu Jitsu: um estudo observacional(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2016-05-09) Agricola, Nestor Persio Alvim; Guillo., Lidia Andreu; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3401436781775091; Guillo, Lidia Andreu; Silva, Maria Sebastiana; Barbosa, Maria Alves; Soares, Viviane; Rita, Ricardo de Mattos SantaPhysical exercise is considered an important variable in the study of human health, especially due the changes induced in several biomarkers. In physical training, body adaptations are quite specific for each type of sport and effort. The quantification of biochemical parameters related to human health, mediated by physical activity in its many variations, provides new scientific eyes, not only for what relates to the interaction between the various systems, but also in relation to physiological and adaptive effects generated by them. This research consists of the systematic monitoring of Jiu Jitsu athletes, quantifying the variations of some biochemical parameters linked to health, in an attempt to assess the modality of sport in its potential for health and verify the variations in these parameters depending on the type and intensity of the effort and the special characteristics of the sport. Jiu Jitsu is a kind of sport that has gained prominence and become popular. Throughout the year of training, athletes alternate periods of high intensity training with low intensity periods. The energy expenditure is high and the maximum or submaximal effort often leads to muscle, joint and bone injuries. This is a longitudinal descriptive observational study of measurement that had the participation of 14 volunteers who were monitored for 9 months in their training routine. Blood and saliva samples were collected and the heart rate was monitored throughout this period. Saliva was used to quantify nitric oxide and blood for hematological parameters. The results of the experiments were submitted to statistical tests. Hematological parameters of the red series are influenced by the physical effort when performed in a long-lasting mode, during the training period, responding to the intensity of the effort made. The white series, related to the immune system, is influenced acutely, responding to the exercise stimulus with significant changes as the effort is more or less intense. The production of NO in the organism tends to follow the level of effort made; however, the modality studied has the characteristic of promoting the stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system, what reduced the activity of salivary gland and nitrite concentrations after training is performed. Musculoskeletal injuries are typical of this kind of sport and very typical, which ends up modulating partly the organic response to training. This stimulation, however, must be seen as positive for activating the adaptive response and the interaction of several systems.Item A procura do eco na atividade turística em Terra Ronca (GO)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-07-27) Aguiar Júnior, Paulo Roberto Ferreira de; Oliveira, Ivanilton José de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4172719252263913; Oliveira, Ivanilton José de; Moreira, Jorgeanny de Fátima Rodrigues; Chaveiro, Eguimar Felício; Castilho, Denis; Carvalho, Giselia LimaThe thesis aimed to investigate the lack of ecotourism activity in the Terra Ronca Integral Protection Conservation Unit (GO), which has the largest cave system in South America, and to understand why the activity does not meet the elements that would qualify the tourism activity carried out in its space as ecotourism. The methodology used included a case study in the conservation unit, literature review, data collection on websites such as the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), technical visits, and questionnaires applied to people directly involved in the tourist activity in the Park. Geography is essential for the study of ecotourism in conservation units, especially when using systemic thinking to understand the relationships between the environment and society. The systemic approach considers the interdependence of the elements and processes that constitute a system, allowing for a broader and more integrated analysis of the ecosystem in question. The results indicated that the low participation of the local population, especially those directly involved in tourist activity, along with the advancement of degradation of the cerrado biome and the inefficiency of the state, are the main reasons for the lack of ecotourism activity in Terra Ronca. Based on these conclusions, the thesis contributed to expanding the discussion on ecotourism development in Brazil and to raising awareness about the importance of environmental preservation and the involvement of the local population in sustainable tourism activities. Item A linguagem oral e a constituição do conhecimento pela criança de cinco a seis anos no contexto da educação infantil(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-08-28) Aguiar, Ana Rogéria de; Barbosa, Ivone Garcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8032275045906128; Barbosa, Ivone Garcia; Melo, Keila Matida de; Silveira, Telma Aparecida Teles Martins; Rosa, Sandra Valéria LimontaThe present doctoral thesis entitled “Oral language and the process of constitution of knowledge by children aged five to six years in the context of Early Childhood Education” is a subproject of the research “Public policies and childhood education in Goiás: history, conceptions , projects and practices ”, which is carried out by the Center for Childhood Studies and Research and its Education in Different Contexts , from the Faculty of Education/UFG is also linked to the line of research Training, Teacher Professionalization and Educational Work, of the Graduate Program in Education, Faculty of Education, Federal University of Goiás. It had as research problem the investigation about the process of appropriation of oral language and the constitution of knowledge by children in the preschool context. To develop our research, we chose a qualitative methodology of data construction and used ethnography elements in the educational context. In order to establish coherence with the theoretical foundations that underlie this work, the developed methodological approach used the historical materialist approach to understand the real concrete and, in the face of existing contradictions, to be able to make the concrete-abstract-concrete relationship, as stated by Marx (2003). To understand the relationships of the object of study and its multiple determinations, we sought theorists from the socio-historical-dialectic perspective to develop our analyzes and discuss the relationship between thought and language, with the Soviet authors Vygotsky (2001), Bakhtin (2014) and Luria (1990) presented us with contributions to think of language as a constituent category of the human being, which is learned in the relationship with the other, which is essential in the process of appropriation of the knowledge historically constructed by humanity. Regarding the stages of conducting the research, these occurred in simultaneous and articulated ways, being an empirical stage (observation and participation), a bibliographic survey stage, document analysis, data analysis and writing of the thesis text. The field of realization of the empirical stage was a CMEI located in the municipality of Trindade-GO, in a preschool class with children from five to six years old. The theoretical dialogue we conducted pointed to the need to consider oral language as a category of knowledge that should be mediated and worked on intentionally by early childhood education institutions. In this sense, we affirm that the mastery of this knowledge, on the part of the teachers, becomes basic in the process of learning and development of the children.Item Enfermidades infecciosas em comunidade indígena Terena de Mato Grosso do Sul(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2008-08-02) AGUIAR, José Ivan Albuquerque; NETTO, Joaquim Caetano de Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3444498706763045The health conditions of Brazilian indigenous population are few recognized with limited information available. A survey was carried out among indians Terena, people that inhabit on the municipalities of Sidrolândia and Dois Irmãos do Buriti, Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Was studied the prevalence of infection by intestinal parasites, infection markers for viral Hepatitis A, B and C, and for antibody against the viral diseases; Poliomyelitis 1, 2 and 3, Measles, Yellow Fever and Hepatitis B. The results were stratified by age and revealed that the parasitic infection affects 73.5% of the population studied, with high prevalence of the Blastocystis hominis. In the population above 10 years, more than 90% showed reactivity to the anti-HAV, absence of infection markers for Hepatitis B and C, respectively HBsAg and anti-HCV, and a rate of 16.7% (95% CI 12.6-21.3) for the anti-HBs. The prevalence of neutralizing antibodies against the measles virus and yellow fever virus was 96.7% (95% CI 93.9-98.3) and 91.4% (95% CI 88.0-94.7) respectively. The polio results showed that 62.2% (95% CI 56.5-67.6) 71.7% (95% CI 66.2-76.6) and 63.5% (95% CI 56.5-69.6) had antibodies against the types 1, 2 and 3, respectively, showing vulnerability to B Hepatitis, Yellow Fever and Poliomyelitis.Item Manejo do mofo branco (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum L.) em tomateiro industrial(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-08-30) AGUIAR, Renata Alves de; CUNHA, Marcos Gomes da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2006008625763742Brazil ranks ninth in the world production of tomato (Solanum esculentum L.), while much of this production is destined for processing industries. The added value obtained with the fruit processing endorses this species as the vegetable with the greatest economic importance in the Cerrado region of Brazil, where the State of Goiás stands out as the largest producer. Despite the favorable soil and climatic conditions, several factors have hindered its production, especially diseases caused by soilborne pathogens, which had increased their importance with the adoption of intensive production systems. Among them, white mold caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) De Bary has caused serious problems in infested soils, under mild temperatures and high humidity. Concerning the large number of S. sclerotiorum hosts and the lack of resistant hybrids, chemical control has been chosen as the most common method for disease management, despite not always efficient, due to the difficulties to reach the pathogen s resistance structures in the soil. Therefore, the study aimed to evaluate the disease escape on different tomato hybrids, to compare the effectiveness of synthetic fungicides mixed or not to potassium silicate; evaluate the biological control of white mold, with different commercial products based on Trichoderma spp. associated or not to a synthetic fungicide, and to evaluate the biological control with or without chemical fungicides, applied through chemigation. Tests were carried out in soil of medium texture at Unilever experimental farm, in Goiânia (GO), from 2008 to 2010. The experimental area was previously infested with sclerotia of the pathogen, obtained in pre-cleaning wastes of soybean. Drip irrigation was used in all tests, which had 4 plants m-1 with 1.5 meters between rows. The hybrids used in the disease escape tests were: U232, U2006 (Unilever), H9992, H7155 (Heinz), N877 (Nunhems) and H108 (Hypeel). In all other essays, Heinz 9780 was the chosen hybrid. All experiments were conducted under randomized blocks design with three replications, and had weekly assessments of disease incidence to estimate the area under the disease progress curve (AUDPC). We also evaluated the productivity and its components, as well as acidity, soluble solids content and industrial yield. The results were submitted to ANOVA and to the Scott Knott or Tukey tests at 5%, using the statistical program Sisvar. It was shown that: Hybrids H9992 and Hp108 had lower AUDPCs, suggesting a partial escape to white mold and that hybrid choice can be added to the disease management cultural practices, despite there was no difference on their yield. In 2008, under higher disease pressure, potassium silicate in plots without fungicide application showed disease incidence, AUDPC, productivity and industrial yield equivalent to treatments with fluazinam and procymidone, and superior to results with benzalkonium chloride. There was no difference between treatments with Trichoderma spp. associated or not to fluazinam, in any of the assessed traits. Regarding industrial yield, there was an interaction between Trichoderma, fluazinam and years, with higher pulp yield under higher disease incidence and fluazinam sprayed alone. It was found that biological control with Trichoderma spp. via chemigation as a single measure or in mixture with the synthetic fungicides procymidone fluazinam reduced the AUDPC and increased the productivity of processing tomatoes in 25 tons on average, compared to the control. Therefore, this study showed new options for the integrated management of white mold in processing tomatoes. Item Educação ambiental e meio ambiente no contexto de Palmas Capital Ecológica(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2010-06-14) AIRES, Berenice Feitosa da Costa; BASTOS, Rogério Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6015137404238990Analyze the representations of the Environment and Environmental Education of teachers and students of basic education Palmas (TO) was the main goal of our investigat ion. The focus of research is centered on representations because we think they reveal the world of the subject and open spaces both for reflection and for action. Through literature review and rescued some forms of environmental education has been practiced and how the environment has been conceived, trying to show how the place and everyday relationships are constructive representations and relevance to the development of formal education, especially by experiments that occurs at the local level, but are not disconnected from global experiences. Thus, the study focuses on the pedagogical practices of teachers in the EA of private education, city and state and graphical representations of students in elementary and secondary education about the environment. For the realization of this theoretical research using sources from different areas of knowledge and empirical research, using the analysis of questionnaires, documents, maps, observations, records, photographs and statistical analysis (Chi-square and Fischer's exact test). From the data collected, the practice of EA was revealed as a variety of representations of students and teachers about the environment. The results offer a view as has been the practice in environmental education in the area surveyed, mainly in relation to the activities of EA developed in basic education. From the elaborate framework of representations and pedagogical practices found and the end of the investigation, it was possible to formulate some guidelines for programs of continuing education of teachers in EA, and some principles for the construction of meaningful practice of EA considering the context of basic education Palmas (TO). It is emphasized that the importance of this research area is to contribute to the reflection on the values that can permeate the environmental education and also by providing assistance, not just getting in dealing conceptual.Item Infecção pelo vírus da hepatite B em pacientes com tuberculose em hospital de referência em Goiânia-GO(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-11-28) Aires, Rodrigo Sebba; Martins, Regina Maria Bringel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2582896795892370Hepatitis B and tuberculosis (TB) are important public health problems. This study aimed to investigate the epidemiological and molecular profile of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection among patients with TB who were attended at the reference hospital for infectious diseases in Goiânia, Goiás. A total of 402 patients were interviewed for socio-demographic characteristics, risk factors for HBV infection and previous hepatitis B vaccination. Blood samples were collected and sera were tested for HBsAg, anti-HBc, and anti-HBs markers by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HBsAg reactive samples were tested for HBeAg e anti-HBe markers by ELISA. HBV DNA was detected in HBsAg and anti-HBc reactive samples by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). HBV DNA positive samples were genotyped by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) and sequencing of the Pre-S/S region. The overall HBV prevalence infection was 25.6% (95% CI: 21.5-30.2). Age higher or equal 50 years old and injecting or non-injecting drug use were risk factors associated with HBV infection. HBV DNA was detected in ten (76.9%) HBsAg reactive samples. Of these, eight were genotyped as genotypes A (n = 7) and D (n=1). HBV occult infection rate of 14.4% was found among anti-HBc reactive patients. Only 10.9% had serological evidence of previous HBV vaccination. The high prevalence and risk factors such as injecting or non-injecting drug use, in addition to the low HBV vaccine coverage found, should indicate that there is a need for interventions aimed at improving hepatitis B prevention and control in patients with tuberculosis.
