While the Latin American telenovelas of Spanish language and the soap operas do not need the "author", the Brazilian telenovelas have absorbed this therm from the avant-garde context of the Sixties when the politique des auteurs was created. Using the politique des auteurs as reference, it has been noted recurrent themes and the writer's minimal identity which deceives the industry rigours. On the other hand, the author's control upon the work is precarious due to its long length and the interferences of the public and the network.
