Item Uma leitura da representação do feminino na ficção de Yvonne Vera(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2010-12-15) ARAÚJO, Cibele de Guadalupe Sousa; SOUSA, Heleno Godói de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4388813326632106The aim of this research and of the dissertation from it is the analysis of the fictional work of Yvone Vera, a prominent writer from Zimbabwe. Incribed in the African literature written in English, her works are well known and studied internationally, and they have been translated into many idioms such as Spanish, French, Italian and German. However, this work is not very known in Brazil. Therefore, this study observe the author´s treatment of cultural, social, political and gender questions, in a period that comprehend almost a century of the Zimbabwean history, since the intensification of the colonizer occupation and the First Chimurenga (the liberation movement) until the period after the Second Chimurenga (the war for indepence), after 1980. The main focus of the dissertation is the study of the feminine representation in Vera s work, as it appear in her short-story collection Why Don t You Carve Other Animals? (1993), and in her novels Nehanda (1993), Without a Name (1994), Under the Tongue (1996), Butterfly Burning (1998), The Stone Virgins (2002): the construction of the feminine identity, the struggle for women´s emancipation, the position of women in the colonial society and in the fight for the liberation of the country from the colonial Power, as well as the difference introduced by the independence of the country in the lives of Zimbawean women.Item Modalidades do estranho na poesia de William Butler Yeats(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2010-12-10) CORSI, Edson Manzan; SOUSA, Heleno Godói de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4388813326632106This thesis has as its object of study three modalities of the uncanny as they appear in the poetry of Irish writer William Butler Yeats. They are: the incidence of the Double, the contact with the Deads, their way of operation in the metaphysical sphere as well as in the world of the Living, and the Animist way of thinking which embraces the omnipotence of thought. We believe that this is possible to be theoretically thought and analyzed through the ideas presented by Sigmund Freud in his essay titled The uncanny ( Das Unheimliche ), edited in 1919. In order to help our discussion of the problem, we used some considerations from French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan. For example, what he exposes in his seminar dedicated to the anxiety and in his essay on the mirror stage . Many important ideas and concepts from literary critics such as T. S. Eliot, W. H. Auden, Tzvetan Todorov, Emil Staiger, Joseph Warren Beach, Ezra Pound, among others, were also used as basis for the development of our discussion on the theme of the strangeness (uncanny) in the frontiers between literature and psychoanalysis. The thought of Friedrich Nietzsche also helped us to understand the concept that Yeats developed and used of tragic joy and the relationship of the poet with the tragic thinking, discussed by the German philosopher and which influenced the work of the Irish writer. This influence made possible, in the poetry Yeats wrote, appear an aspect of absurdity, of ambition for being assimilated in the chorus of the tragedy visible, for instance, in the chapter about the Double and that we can find in his most important poems.Item Lima Barreto: em diálogo com a modernidade(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2006-03-31) CUNHA, André Mols Faria da; FRUNGILLO, Mario Luiz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3995744089120692Author of a huge written production, in spite of the short time he lived, Lima Barreto presents himself as one of the great brazilian writers, living in a particularly delicate moment in the country s history, more specifically during the transition between Empire and the First Republic and the first years of the new regime. Brazil, in the times of Lima Barreto, saw itself thrown in a turmoil of astounding power. The Republic s proclamation was the beginning of a crisis continuity, that took place from 1889 and on. Having as a goal, among other reasons, to have a higher level of similarity with the appearance of an European metropolis from the end of the XIX century, the city of Rio de Janeiro suffered, between this period and the beginning of the XX century a profound reform. The modifications would increase, in theory, the possibilities of business and exposition in relation to the rest of the civilized world of the time. Such innovations were mirrored, in part, in the work developed by Hausmann in Paris. In Rio de Janeiro, such adaptation process was named Regeneração, being commanded by the city s mayor at the time, Pereira Passos. One of the most important and complete registers of such period is the work of Lima Barreto, author who lived in lived with in the then country s capital city. In this work I deal specifically of the novel Vida e morte de M. J. Gonzaga de Sá, of Lima Barreto, having as focus the use the author makes of the socratic dialogue as discourse tool. In this novel, the character Gonzaga de Sá sees with sadness his Rio de Janeiro, old friend, gradually disappear while a stranger takes its place. The number of themes dealt with in this novel is striking. I start with the hipotesys that such situation is possible due to the text s form, which is predominantly the socratic dialogue. I believe that it is thanks to it and its free creative character that the discussion of this miryad of themes dealt by Gonzaga de Sá and his partner, Augusto Machado is made possible.Item Processo de palatalização no português: Lagoa da Pedra e Canabrava-TO(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2009-09-18) DIAS, Ana Lourdes Cardoso; AGUIAR, Maria Suelí de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0950467502306607This study presents an analysis of the palatalization process of /t/ and /d/ before vowels as [ã] [a], [e], [o] and [u] in examples such as muitxu ~ muito, prefeitxu ~ prefeito, deitxadu ~ deitado, doidzu ~ doido, founded in the Corpus of Lagoa de Pedra and Canabrava, two rural african descent communities located 40 km from the city of Arraias in the State of Tocantins. The survey participants were aged between 54 to 89 years, non-educated or having little knowledge of letters, and were born and grown in site. The methodology used for data collection was based on the model of the sociolinguistic interview, focused on the narratives of personal experience and in the history of the place. The theoretical background discusses the formation of the Portuguese language returning to its roots in Latin, as well as the formation of the Brazilian Portuguese language with focus on linguistics and socio-historical aspects that marked the early years of Portuguese colonization in Brazil, as the contact with indigenous languages and African ones. It also discusses the theories of syllable structure of the Portuguese language in the phonology, according to the linear and nonlinear standards, based on ideas from Camara Jr. (1969, 1977), Dubois (2004) and Selkirk (1982), similarly, the consonant and vowel system and the process of palatalization from Latin to Portuguese and the description of this process in the current Portuguese based on structuralist, generative and autossegmental models. To data description it was taken into account internal factors to the language that could possible foment, or discourage, the palatalization process of /t/ e /d/ such as: the following phonological context; the preceding phonological context; syllable position in the word and tone. The data analysis was divided into two parts, in which the first part is the phonological analysis of the process of palatalization on the model proposed by the geometry of phonological features theory, according to Bisol and Hora (1993), Hora (1993), based on Clements's proposal (1985). The second, based on claims of historical linguistics, with respect to variation, preservation and linguistic change, analyzes the process in a historical-evolutionary scale. In this perspective, the historical phonetics is of utmost importance for the discussions, (COUTINHO, 1976; ELIA, 1979; BUENO, 1958)Item A literatura infantil/juvenil brasileira na França: Où est Lobatô?(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2007-04-11) FRANCA, Vanessa Gomes; AGUIAR, Ofir Bergemann de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9534583045600695Les recherches historiographiques en traduction, dans le domaine des Études en Traduction, constituent en champs pas encore très étudié. Un des ses soucis est celui de vérifier ce que commment et pourquoi on traduit dans certaines cultures. Pour quelques théoriciens et auteurs un des prrincipaux motifs pour qu une oeuvre soit traduite est sa langue d écriture. Ana Maria Machado se met à discuter, dans une conférence au 27º Congrès de l IBBY, après avoir reçu le prix Hans Christian Andersen, de l importance de la traduction d une oeuvre pour qu elle soit vue et reconnue dans une autre culture. Elle parle encore de la position périphérique occupée par la langue portugaise au monde littéraire et la marginalité de notre culture. Selon Pasquale Casanova, en La Republique Mondiale des Lettres, pour qu un auteur soit reconnu mondialement est nécessaire que ses ouvrages soient traduites. Tel processus est valable, particulièrement, aux excentriques, ou soit, les écrivains qui ne font pas partie des grands centres littéraires. La littérature brésilienne est considérée, d après l auteur, comme appartenant à un espace littéraire moyen, pendant que la langue portugaise, une langue petite . On a perçu dans le discours de Casanova et de Machado une syntonie aux réflexions du théoricien belge des Études de la Traduction Andre Lefevere. D après lui, la valeur intrinsèque d une oeuvre n est pas suffisante pour assurer sa survivance, en étant nécessaires les reécritures, parmi lesquelles il y a la traduction, les essais critiques, les histoires littéraire et les adaptations cinématographiques et théâtrales. La canonisation des oeuvres et l évolution des littératures sont determinées pour l interaction entre les écritures et les réécritures, selon Lefevere. De ces considérations il nous vient l idée de nos dédier aux oeuvres enfantines et juvéniles brésiliennes qui ont étés traduites en langue française, puisque la nôtre littérature pour enfants et adolescents ont conquis chaque fois plus d espace au scénario international. Notre recherche constitue donc, une étude inédite vu que la traduction de ce type de littérature est encore un thème peu discuté au Brésil et à l extérieur. Tels textes n avaient pas encore reçu l attention du monde académique, en vertu, surtout du préjugé antérieurement conféré à la traduction comme object d étude, tout comme la littérature enfantine/juvénile et l illustration sont considérées des secteurs minimisés et marginalisés de la littérature. Notre objectif initial était travailler avec les oeuvres de la littérature enfantine/juvénile de Lobato traduites en français. Tel a été notre étonnement, au cours de nos recherches, quand on a decouvert que le père de la littérature enfantine-juvénile brésilienne n a aucune de ses oeuvres, destinées aux enfants et aux jeunes, editées en France, principalement pour sa littérature pour les adultes avoir été assez traduite en français aux années de 1920 et 1930. D où l approche que nous avons conféré à cet auteur et le titre de ce travail. Nous présentons une investigation des oeuvres enfantines et juvéniles brésiliennes trouvées en France, traduites ou editées directement en français. On fera une étude des éléments paratextuels et textuels à travers la comparaison de extraits de quelques oeuvres et de leurs traductions. Although recurrent, the theoretic works that scrutinizes the animal figure, few productions are dedicated to its literary meaning, what, somehow, shows the lack of attention related to this issue. Without decreasing the importance of the traditional studies, that just presents the animal figure as own human s implicit form, this study tries to fill the critical lack, analyzing literary contemporaneous brazilian productions that contemplates the animal figure based in its symbolical aspects. Thus, as much of the imaginary and symbolism, arose in the bestiary medieval tradition, its recurrent found in the current literature, the following authors, of recognized prominence and importance in the context of national literature, were chosen to be analyzed: Moacyr Scliar and Manoel de Barros. So, there will be a descriptive, analytical, critical and interpretative study of the symbolical and imaginary presence of animals, respectively, in tales of O carnaval dos animais (1968) and in the poetry book Arranjos para assobio (1982), from its own distinction, its gender and its singularity, since each of this works, in addition being part of a particular historical context, it s marked by distinctive aspects of each authorItem O Percurso Historiográfico-Linguístico das Paixões(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-08-22) GOMES, Janice Alves; MILANI, Sebastião Elias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6083858100528635This dissertation aims at tracing the linguistic-historiographical route of the passions. The starting point for doing this research was the book Semiotics of Passions, written by Algirdas Julien Greimas. During his studies of semiotics, Greimas realized that the verbal and non-verbal texts presented information that could represent the feelings as content. When dedicating himself to the Semiotics of action, from the studies of Vladimir Propp, took up a subject that had long been discussed in philosophy that was the influence of the passions in the way the individual thought and acted. As a result, it was considered to make this work a review of the route of the Semiotics os passions, also from Greimas view, mediated by Ferdinand de Saussure and Charles Sanders Peirce s thought, the precursors of the semiological and semiotic studies, respectively. The philosophers selected to the analysis of the route of the passions were, in Classical Antiquity, the third century b. C., Plato and Aristotle, who argued that man acted motivated by their passions. Such passions were always taken as an ill or a disease. Due such thought, the Greeks believed that only the non-intellectualized men possessed passions, intellectualized men were not affected by this ill, because they acted with rationality, therfore, classifying the passions as the pathos. Plato started a more general study on this subject, Aristotle, however, was the one who is dedicated to make them more specific, mainly, in the Rhetoric of Passions. In the course from Classical Antiquity to Christianity, in the fourth century, Aurelius Augustine, influenced by Christian thought, presented the passions from the perspective or under the conflict between soul and body. According to Augustine, the soul overlapped the body, i.e., it is stronger, so it carries man to sin. Thomas Aquinas in the Middle Ages, the thirteenth century, dedicated to work the existence, essence and passion. Classified them as irascible and concupiscibles, influenced by the philosophers of Classical Antiquity. Finally, in the modern age, the seventeenth century, René Descartes believed that the passions materialized themselves in a relation between the physiological system and the soul, all sorts of thought belonged to the soul. To study the passions, under the principles of semiotic theory, Greimas, besides having researched the passions, according to the philosophers thought, has adapted some features of the Semiotics of action, as the four modalities, that in the study of passions became modalities veridictórias (of veracity), and, to these, it was also included the study of immanence and manifestation, thus the principle of Semiotics of Passions is that the passions exist according to the wanting and the being.Item Condições De Produção De Textos E Reescrita Orientada Por Bilhetes(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-02-28) LISBOA, Jussara Regina de Souza; MORAES, Eliana Melo Machado; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8561040656576261This work suggests issues related to production conditions and the rewriting of texts geared for tickets, at school, such questions are found in the productions of elementary school students. My goal is to analyze what are the interferences that such conditions of textual production, carry on writing and the role they play in guiding the tickets rewrite these students. Study subjects are teachers and students. The students were enrolled at the time the 9th grade of elementary school. A teacher and a teacher worked at the time, the effective teacher and researcher. The generation of data was in late 2009, the months of November and December. Procedures of analysis, qualitative methods have been developed which was the basic element of Evidential Paradigm Ginszburg (1989 and 1990) for its recovery in the uniqueness of this data and research is focused on finding the evidence. Hypotheses have been raised that conducted the investigation. The stay in school enabled me to collect the textual productions, collecting the materials used in the classes of text production; record seven classes for the production work and rewriting of texts, make notes in field diaries; enforce a semistructured interview with the teacher and an exploratory questionnaire to students. The look that guides this theoretical research is centered on language in place and the interaction between subjects, advocated by Bakhtin (2003, 2006). Among other scholars who depart this same look and fields like Textual Linguistics and Discourse Analysis, it has been Foucault (2002), Geraldi (1997, 2001, 2004, 2006), Indursky (2006), Koch (2004, 2006, 2006a, 2006b, 2007, 2007a, 2007b), Orlandi (2006, 2007, 2007a, 2008, 2008a), Pêcheaux (1997) and Ruiz (2001) whose investigations cut across the paths of language, text and discourse in its relation to teaching and learning of English. This research is justified by the need to better understand the conditions of textual production-oriented and rewriting tickets, as well as its role in the formation of Bullies in the public schools. The conclusions point to the need to create conditions for production of the text for students to recognize themselves as subjects of speech, thus recognizing the social character of language.Item O efeito de real em incidentes em antares, de Erico Verissimo: Literatura e História(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2010-12-10) MACHADO, Glacy Magda de Souza; RAMOS, Marilúcia Mendes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0736591553780542In Incidente em Antares, Erico Verissimo's novel, history and wonderful events come together to show the reality of recent history of our country, specifically the military dictatorship established in 1964. From a microcosm, the small town of Antares, Verissimo‟s fiction expands to the macrocosm, providing an allegorical reading of that historical moment. Because death gives the impunity necessary to the ghosts, the novel, written with courage and commitment, gives them powers to denounce all the arbitrariness that Brazilian people were living. Far from being a ghost story, Incidente em Antares is a political novel, which portrays and reveals Brazilian reality in a particularly difficult moment for free intellectual thought. In our studies, therefore, we used some theoretical reflections that were important for our purposes to see what mechanisms were responsible for creating these real effects, since the second part of the narrative, alone, has no reference to external reality, once unbelievable characters tell a story that also could not happen in the real world.Item Mirar e narrar: as formas do olhar nos contos de Julio Cortázar(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-04-13) MELO, Elza Duarte de; SANTANA, Jorge Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2812435500901945En los estudios literarios, la obra de Julio Cortázar puede ser considerada un punto de apoyo importante en la reflexión sobre el papel de los elementos narrativos, tanto en la experimentación y en la búsqueda de una expresión artística satisfactoria cuanto en la expresión de su humanismo. En este trabajo, proponemos al estudio de la recurrencia del tema de la mirada como elemento integrador y, al mismo tiempo, metafórico, que relaciona el hacer artístico con las preocupaciones del ser. A tanto, procuramos relacionar los problemas de la percepción de la realidad a los de la representación artística, intercalándolos a la problemática del sujeto delante al mundo percibido y al mundo recriado por la ficción en cuentos como Las babas del diablo , presente en la colectánea Las armas secretas, Fin de etapa , de Deshoras; La isla a mediodía y El otro cielo , de Todos los fuegos el fuego; Ahí pero dónde, cómo , de Queremos tanto a Glenda. Estos cuentos, entre otros que estarán presentes en este trabajo, hacen parte de lo que llamamos aquí de formas de la mirada , y serán analizados a partir de la fenomenología de Maurice Merleau-Ponty, del tratamiento espacio-temporal y de la incursión por el fantástico. Procuramos demostrar que estas formas de la mirada están ligadas a las proyecciones del yo delante del que es percibido del mundo, a la búsqueda por la comprensión del yo por medio del otro y, por último, a la búsqueda de una nueva percepción del mundo y de sí. En este mismo sentido, las diferentes miradas de los personajes reflejan también en la mirada sobre la narrativa, revelándonos un narrador autocrítico que expone a los lectores la problemática del hacer literario.Item Memória de infância na lírica de Manuel Bandeira(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2009-11-10) MIRANDA, Maria José de; SANTOS, Rogério Santana dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5287301418226979The aim of this academic paper/dissertation is to analyze the process of bringing childhood memories back to the present in the poetry of Manuel Bandeira. Moreover, we will explain how these childhood memories are rethought in the present life of the poet as an adult. We see that this process of memory in the lyricism of Bandeira may be observed in three distinct moments, for they occur in different times that the poet goes through. In this perspective we take into consideration the literary criticism, the psychoanalysis of Freud, the studies of Bergson and Halbwachs regarding the memory issue, in order to show that these past memories come up when an action in the present takes place and awakes them. However, these memories are rethought, coming into our imagination differently, for they do not rise to the present in the same way they were in the past. This work is divided into three chapters; the first one is a brief poetical and intellectual report about the work of Bandeira, which already states the memory theme. The second chapter is divided into two parts: the first one, which portrays the illness and confinement of the poet, when the memories are filled with anguish from the present; the second one, which shows the poet in resignation with his personal condition and the memories of a happier childhood. On the third chapter we discuss the period of the most remarkable poetry of Bandeira, which is marked by the esthetical changes established in Modernism. Furthermore, this chapter points out that his personal childhood memories reach childhood in a general way, for they cover, through the very personal matter, a historical and traditional pastItem O Entrelugar em Borges: fragmentos de uma poética(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-02-18) OLIVEIRA, Gustavo Ponciano Cunha de; CAMARGO, Goiandira de Fatima Ortiz de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3029764057965151This study, presented as an essay, starts from the indeterminacy of meaning as a critical assumption in an attempt to seize possible fragments of a poetics in the work of Jorge Luis Borges. Thus, its outcome is not the definition of the poet and his creation, but a possible critical reading. The study connects specific fragments of Borges work with different support texts, critical and philosophical ones, by Joseph Hillis Miller, Antoine Compagnon, Jacques Derrida, Paul de Man, Gilles Deleuze. This contact enables the perception of the author s dissatisfaction before a couple of binary or polar oppositions (metaphysical paradigms inheritance), and consequent imposition of order favoring one of the words: literature/criticism, reading/writing, poetic/antipoetic, self/ one another, totality/suggestion. Such dissatisfaction is expressed in the borgesian creation through a metaphor which I call in-between. Its fundamental characteristic is the refutation of discourses that present themselves as having a fixed and unshakable truth through a reversion of the hierarchy which establishes them. Borges is, therefore, understood here as an inquirer who employs the language, testing its limits and strength. The inquiring feature assigned to his texts, his inflection, is reflected in this essay. Starting from a quotation from El Aleph and from the fissured reading of such fragment, always highlighting the partiality of the study accomplished here, this essay presents the defense that Borges lies in an in-between when discussing fundamental questions like authorship, text, authenticity and self.Item O gênero discursivo homilia: intertextualidade e dialogia nas práticas religiosas católicas(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-06-07) PINTO, Juliana de Sousa; COSTA, Alexandre Ferreira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4184486812934402This work now presented emerged from the professional and personal anxieties, from the actuation in a project developed by the Núcleo de Estudos, Pesquisa e Extensão em Agricultura Familiar NEAF/UFG, in the Rio Claro (P.A.) Projeto de Assentamento in Jataí, State of Goiás. And has as the objective, to analyze the social and spatial trajectory of the families from this setting, besides to verify the influence of these trajectories in the present time of their lives, as seat people. So some specific objectives were established, just as to analyze the social and spatial trajectory of the families from the Rio Claro P.A. in the previous phases to the constitution of this setting: the previous phase to the land battle; to understand how the constitution of the P.A. was realized, and to verify which were the influences of the social and spatial trajectories of the families in the social and productive organization of the setting. These trajectories were divided in three phases, the previous phase to the entering into the land battle, which gives the basis for the first part of the work; the phase of the battle for land, which gives basis the second part; and finally the present phase of their social and spatial trajectories, as seat people, constituting the third part. According to these objectives, we took bold of the following methodological instruments which permitted the development of this study: bibliographic and documental research through the data supplied by the Sindicato dos Trabalhadores Rurais de Jataí (Jataí Rural Labor Union) and the DATALUTA data bank, which permitted the secondary data collection; field research, with the use , as instruments of data collection, of a form with closed and open questions and a semi organized interview, which propitiated the collection of the primary data. In the form we obtained the participation of 17 families who compose the Rio Claro setting, in a total of 19 people. 10 families participated in the interview, totalizing 13 researched people. After realizing this study it was possible to conclude that, to research the social and spatial trajectories from the components of the P.A. Rio Claro was fundamental to understand the social and productive relationships established in the setting and among people of the researched group, being possible to indentify the origins of the families, the cause they were expropriated from the land, and how they entered into the movement of the land battle and how they created the setting which nowadays guarantees them the production of their ways of life, through the work in the conquered peace of land .Item A transitividade em cartas do leitor à luz do funcionalismo(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2009-03-17) RIBEIRO, Roberta Rocha; GALVÃO, Vania Cristina Casseb; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4483153034836149The main objective of this work is to analyze the trend of the transitive organization in the genre letter of the reader. For in such a way, we support in them in the functionalists conceptions of the language, that consider the language in use, the verbal interaction, as well as the communicative intentions of the users of the language in the interaction. In what it refers to the transitivity, the functionalists‟ studies, in general, affirm that the phenomenon is syntactic-semantic, of phrasal scope and it is not depleted in the level of the verb. The verb is the generating nucleus of all the argument structure of the sentence and, each argument, assists in the transitive constitution. The transitivity, in this way, organizes the sentence and, consequently, the text, the discourse. Therefore, it is a phenomenon of organizational matrix. In this manner, we opt to investigating the uses of the transitivity in texts produced in pertaining to school environment. Our corpus is composed of letters of the reader written by fourth series‟ pupils, in 2003, the Centro de Ensino e Pesquisa Aplicada à Educação da Universidade Federal de Goiás (CEPAE/UFG). Thus, we observe the phenomenon in the genre letter of the reader and, therefore, we also consider, the discourse genre theory (BAKHTIN, 2000) and of textual typology (ADAM, 2001; MARCUSCHI, 2005). We initiate our analysis verifying, in the texts selected for the qualitative analysis, the States of Affairs that the verbs represent leaving of the notion of verbal dynamism (DIK, 1997; NEVES, 2000). We evidence that 40.18% of the verbs denote action, 10.50% express process, 21.91% represent position and 27.39% are state verbs. Ahead of these quantitative data, we decide to observe the trend of the transitivity in consisting occurrences of action verbs, due to great recurrence. In this way, we choose declared sentences and with prototypical and no-prototypical verbs of action. In the section prototypic action, we notice that, in general, the occurrences are formed with verbs of action, perfectives, citizen human (or humanized) agentive, intentional. The behavior of objects varies, therefore it has cases where the object is totally affected, and also has objects who is partially affected. In the section no-prototypical action, the structure of the sentence if is similar of the prototypical verbs of action. The difference is in the direction of the verbs, that express action of the mental plan, saying and in the fact of the object, in general, also to denote materiality in these plans. After this stage of qualitative comment of the transitivity in the occurrences, we trace the relation between the phenomenon, the sort letter of the reader and the literal typology. In this direction, we perceive that, exactly in a sort of opinion, the action verbs appear in bigger amount, independently of the literal type that structure the texts. This recurrence if must to the fact of the pupils, for argumentative ends, frequently to use the narrative type, that asks for action verbs. In this manner, the transitive organization of the analyzed letters of the reader tends to reach higher degrees (HOPPER; THOMPSON, 1980). Taking Nina s (the protagonist) constitution in the main narratives of the book as the starting point, we attempt to establish a sort of analogy between the artistic and the philosophical thoughts about art in order to propose a reflection on the relationships between two kinds of knowledge. Therefore, starting from a perspective in which Nina consists of the literary image of the philosophical idea of art, in the first chapter, a comparative study between the conjectures surrounding this character is undertaken through four narrators in the novel (Timóteo, Betty, Ana and André) and the views of four philosophers about the work of art (Plato, Kant, Nietzsche and Heidegger). Throughout this study, we have focused on the relationship between beauty and truth, which is the main aspect of the philosophical discussion on art, and is also, from our perspective, symbolized by Nina in Crônica da casa assassinada. In the second chapter we discuss the question of art s death decreed by Hegel, so that we attempt to reveal the relationship between such questions and Lúcio Cardoso s concept of the tragic in his most important novel. Based on the philosophical and anthropological view of the tragic, and taking important authors such as Werner Jaeger, Albin Lesky, Gerd Bornheim and Emil Staiger s points of view, we have studied the discourses on death which are brought up in Crônica da casa assassinada in order to verify the perspectives of each one of the narrators that were studied related to the question of transcendence, here considered in his deep linkage to the religious basis of art. In the third chapter we attempt to defend the notion of art as a project which, from our perspective, encompasses the widest sense of Lúcio Cardoso s work. During the second half of 2008, we reflect on our practice collaboratively in the context of teaching, drawing on experiences as learners and as teachers of English. Thus, this study investigates: what is the relationship between our expectations and our teaching practices in this context, how we infer the theories that underlie our practice and how to localize in the socio-históriaco, and, finally, how our reflections contributed to our knowledge and our practice teachers. The study is qualitative and is based on the perspective of critical thinking proposed by Smyth (1991), organized in four steps: describe, inform, confront, and rebuild. Questions like what do I do?; What does that do?; How I came to be that way?: How could do things differently? referring respectively to each of these steps were discussed during the reflection sessions (Magalhaes, 2004) about our actions in the classroom. To collect data, we used an initial questionnaire, an initial reflexive session, three reflective sessions on official documents and a theoretical text of Smyth (1991), reflection sessions on seven classes (videotaped) of the participants and teachers-a final reflective session. The analysis shows a conflict between our expectations and our educational practice conducted in academic year 2008, determining how our practice has been shaped up, that our reflections on our practice has shown, sometimes incoherent and confused, and remain on a micro level and located, and that while this training experience has presented problems and limitations, it was very rich and relevant to both our knowledge and practice as teachers for our professional development.Item O indianismo revisitado: A expedição Montaigne, de Antonio Callado(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-05-09) SILVA, Giselia Rodrigues Dias da; BERGAMO, Edvaldo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7021881106861960Since the Literature Training and Information until the contemporary literature, the Indian, under the most diverse shapes and shades, is always revisited by the Brazilian literary works. In this study, we observed how the novel A expedição Montaigne (1982), by Antonio Callado, incorporates in its narrative economy, the issue of indigenous peoples. This attempt to understand the approach of the Indian in a specific novel opened space for wider discussion. We seek, then, to understand what facets are coated the representation of the Indian in contemporary Brazilian novel, here understood as that novel produced from the second half of the twentieth century, supported mainly by reflections of Walnice Nogueira Galvão, who find themselves in a systematic test of the 1970, whose Indianism revisited" we took borrowed. Moreover, we discuss how the other novels, by Antonio Callado, produced during the same period, also deal with the issue of indigenous and, in parallel, pressing issues in a very specific moment in Brazilian history: the military dictatorship. To this end, we guided by our discussions in some studies critical of the singularities of the socio-historical, political and cultural Brazilian context of the second half of the twentieth century. As is the case of Tania Pellegrini, Regina Dalcastagné, Walnice Nogueira Galvão, and in the readings of novelist by Antonio Callado, whose main authors are Ligia Chiappini Moraes Leite, Alcmeno Bastos e Rejane Rocha. Thus, the object of this research are the texts of the reading sessions of a collection of English textbooks constituted of four books designated to the second phase of elementary school in Goiás. The aim of this analysis is to identify the themes, genres and discourses brought on these texts and the observation of their contribution to reach one of the main goals traced by the foreign language PCN, that is, the discursive engagement on the net of practices in which they take part. The text analysis and the theoretical basis of this work are founded on the theoretical and methodological principles of Critical Discourse Analysis based on the studies of Norman Fairclough (1999, 2001, 2001a, 2001b, 2003, 2006). The selection of the textbooks from which the texts analyzed were taken was based on the collections which were mostly adopted by the English teachers in Goiânia. By the observation of the discourses and the analysis of the themes and genres of the texts it could be noticed that, when certain social spheres and view points are privileged, the Besides, it demonstrates the predominance of the study of texts with the only aim of teaching the structures of the English language. The research begins with critical reflections about modernity and contemporaneousness as present in the poems of Manoel de Barros, considered some contributions of academic criticism about his poetics and pointed out to a possible place for this poet in Brazilian Literature. We made efforts for outlining the ways followed by the other two poets, João Cabral de Melo Neto and Corsino Fortes, tackling the reception literary criticism gave to his productions. Then the research centered in theoretical reflections about subjectivity and its ramifications in the studied poems. This allowed a discussion of the lyric subject, the image and the flame of eroticism. In a third moment, the research revolved around approaches of signs of childhood as lived experiences according to lyric memory, contributing to the presence of myth. The work still centered in metalanguage, as well in a search under words that evoke the mineral and to language childhood, producing a meeting of stones, rivers, islands and wind which goes beyond intertextual metaphor. We integrated and usefulness to this bibliographical survey three unpublished interviews. The initial propose is to study the complete works of the poetry especially books like A alquimia dos nós, Baco e as Anas brasileiras, A ti Áthis and Ecos: a jóia de Pandora, works that show better the Eros images, besides that she uses the Greek mytology. First of all we used works about mitology and platonic philosophy to understand how the God of love is showed on the Ocident. We used too a lot of poets that maked of love feeling as subject for his poems, like Safo, Petrarca, Camões and Álvares de Azevedo. Our objetive is seeing how Yêda Schmaltz is an heir of this poets. So we arrived at the conclusion that Yêda Schmaltz makes a modern poem when she revives Eros.
