Item Arte, arquitetura e cultura: caminhos para a resistência na obra de Lina Bo Bardi e de Hélio Oiticica(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-03-27) Aleixo, Paulo Arthur Silva; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5246618096427219; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Pereira, Maíra TeixeiraIn the vibrant Brazilian cultural production of the 1950s and 1960s, the approximation between the ideals of different fields of expression was common. This was a time when professionals in the arts and architecture were interested in moving out of their narrow spheres, taking a political stand by rethinking cultural production, aiming to strengthen the relationship with the popular strata and change the established situation. However, the 1964 coup d’état, which created a state of tension in the country's politics and culture, frustrated much of this artistic production, forcing the current thinkers to reorganize and rethink their acting strategies in the face of complicated reality established. In this scenario, the names of the Italian-Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi (Rome, 1914 - São Paulo, 1992) and the artist Hélio Oiticica (Rio de Janeiro, 1937 - Rio de Janeiro, 1980) are protagonists in the construction of a thought that sought, above all, ways to question the status quo and transform society. Acting in different places - Bo Bardi between Bahia and São Paulo, Oiticica between Rio de Janeiro and New York - and belonging to different generations and fields of production, their trajectories never crossed, despite having a strong affinity of convictions. The interventions of these figures have condensed but also served as a starting point for most of the concerns contained in the reflections of contemporary architects, artists and intellectuals. Thus, the present work seeks to initiate a reflection on the principles and vital interlocutions that Bo Bardi and Oiticica nurtured in the passage from the 1960s to the 1970s, trying to understand how their productions stood as voices of resistance to the established. To this end, it starts from successive approaches, isolating some influential figures and certain activities developed that, placed in the same perspective, can contribute to the image of a potent cultural phenomenon that fought for greater social and political engagement.Item O tipo como recurso de revisão historiográfica da arquitetura moderna: uma análise da residência José Félix Louza(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-06-07) Almeida, Mayra de Paula Nascimento; Amaral, Camilo Vladimir de Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6861542919882643; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Mello , Fernando Antônio OliveiraThis research aims to test an alternative explanation to the linear “diffusion-reception” historical narrative for the modern architecture in Brazil. For that, it uses “type” as an instrument of analysis for José Félix Louza’s House, a 1950’ David Libeskind project in the city of Goiânia. The investigation presents the construction process of a hegemonic narrative that attributes the “irradiator” role to central big cities (such as Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo) and the “popularization” role to the peripheric productions, such as the one in Goiânia. Retaking the evolution of the type concept in the discipline, this research explains its meaning as: part of the existent architecture culture in a certain historical moment, the result of a collectivity needs and enabled by its technique. Starting from a glance on the project, the first moment scrutinizes the houses’s key elements through tipos settoriales: the home-courtyard; the tripartition organization of nineteenth century; the sliding planes and its textures. In a second moment, each one of these types is observed in the concerning context as an architectural historic process . This process reveals that the types of Jose Félix Louza’s House are also tipos integratos, in other words, they are linked to the place where they are inserted, therefore, they are not plain copies of paradigmatic examples.Item Outras escritas urbanas: o (in)visível como observador(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-05-19) Almeida, Rafael Tavares dos Santos; Amaral, Camilo Vladimir de Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6861542919882643; Amaral, Camilo Vladimir de Lima; Zuker, Fábio Ozias; Ferreira, Braulio ViníciusThis dissertation aims to investigate the relationship between the homeless population and the city, with a focus on the social invisibility that surrounds these individuals. It is important to highlight that many people are experiencing homelessness, forming a growing contingent of vulnerable individuals who suffer the consequences of life production and reproduction within and outside the capitalist system. Social invisibility is a phenomenon that arises due to fetishistic and reifying relationships that place commodities as supreme, which obscures the reality of individuals. However, this scenario is paradoxical because the term "invisible" suggests something or someone that is not seen, which diverges from the high visibility of vulnerable individuals who are encountered daily. In this sense, the objective of this work is to explore the realm of social invisibility and understand how collective intersubjective erasure occurs in the city. To achieve this objective, a qualitative approach is adopted with theoretical and methodological foundations in ethnomethodology. Two tools created from ethnomethodology are used: flâneur listening as a research method and countertaxonomy as a presentation of the results. Flâneur listening consists of listening to the stories of people experiencing homelessness in random encounters, focusing on the homeless population residing in the city of Goiânia. Based on the analysis of social invisibility, an exploration of the city's blind spots is proposed by identifying different characteristics of characters and spaces, their openings, their representations, their limits, and possibilities, understanding them as blind spots of the city where alternative possibilities take hold. To accomplish this, the construction of a countertaxonomy is essential - an inverse deductive movement - one that names certain types of invisibility so that after naming them, it becomes possible to identify characteristics and similarities that apply to the invisible. Additionally, the intention is to analyze the agency promoted by these spaces and reflect on the extent to which they constitute counter-hegemonic architectures and alternatives for inhabiting. The perspective of this dissertation departs from a deconstruction of the blind spots of hegemonic phenomenology, allowing an analysis of the unseen and considering the subjective experiences of these invisibilized subjects in their lived and shared world, as well as the meanings they attribute to their experiences related to the city. It is important to emphasize that both the city and modernity produce a society of disappearance, where not only does the concrete body vanish, leaving traces throughout the city, but it goes further and replaces it with that which is made to be seen. Thus, this research seeks to contribute to the understanding of the relationship between the homeless population and the city, as well as the broader debate on social invisibility and its implications in contemporaneityItem Aspectos bioclimáticos da arquitetura moderna de Goiânia: uma análise de exemplares residenciais projetados no período de 1950 a 1980(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-03-11) Araújo, Larissa Rodrigues; Hora, Karla Emmanuela Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6451685640638572; Abreu-Harbich, Loyde Vieira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9845221974550386; Abreu-Harbich, Loyde Vieira de; Oliveira, Janes Cleiton Alves de; Teixeira, Carla Fernanda Barbosa; Hora, Karla Emmanuela RibeiroIn the historical context of architectural production, modernist architecture manifested in Brazil with a concern to adapt the building to the local reality, incorporating several characteristics, including climate control mechanisms that are related to the principles of bioclimatic architecture. Considering the importance of adapting buildings to the conditions of the climate in which they are inserted, this work aims to analyze the relation between the principles and strategies of bioclimatic architecture and the design solutions adopted in examples of modernist residences in the city of Goiânia-GO. To this end, three buildings were selected, among those already mentioned in previous works, which became the object of study. Initially, the residences were analyzed in a descriptive way, verifying their characteristics, the adaptation strategies present and how they perform in relation to the local climate conditions. Then, the residences were analyzed in a quantitative way through computer simulations elaborated in the DesignBuilder® software, in which the results obtained regarding the operating temperature of the original situation of the residence were compared with other scenarios in which adaptation strategies were changed or removed. The scenarios were: changing the composition of the walls, removing shading elements and changing roof components. This allowed to verify and quantify the influence of such strategies on the thermal performance of the building. From the descriptive and quantitative analyzes made, several positive solutions were revealed, which are related to bioclimatic strategies and enabled effective improvements in the thermal performance of the homes. However, solutions that were inappropriate for the city's climate and that affected the thermal performance were also found. The study proved to be important to disseminate good design practices for adapting to the climate of architectural production in the modern period and, thus, to contribute to future building projects that enhance the use of bioclimatic principles when applying them properly, enabling the optimization of building thermal performance.Item Em busca de holofotes e vagalumes: patrimonialização, turistificação e o centro histórico de Pirenópolis(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-06-03) Avelino Filho, Lucídio Gomes; Britto, Pedro Dultra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3392969122990264; Britto, Pedro Dultra; Costa, Thiago de Araújo; Junqueira, Ivanilda Aparecida Andrade; Amaral, Camilo Vladimir de LimaThe present work represents a provisional synthesis of experiences and reflections regarding the patrimonialization and the touristification of the urban space in the historical center of Pirenópolis. To this end, it uses, as a guiding thread, the poetic aesthetic of a metaphor that associates spotlights with hegemonic systems of power, and fireflies with flashes of singularity contained in popular expressions of life. The objective was to present and discuss heritage and tourism as processes that create, mechanisms and machinations, influencing the production of urban space and the experiences of subjects in the historic center of Pirenópolis. It sought to understand the processes of patrimonialization and touristification beyond the economic spectrum and the cultural preservation, discussing the consolidation of their relationship as hegemonic subjectivation processes. Simultaneously, other more singular forms of subjectivations were investigated, in order to explore the potentialities that emerge from the urban experience as an alternative to new understandings about the historical center of Pirenópolis. It brings an account of a process of autoetnographic investigation, which considered and applied different research procedures in a multi-method approach. From an old mining camp, Pirenópolis has become one of the main tourist destinations in the State of Goiás. Within this context, heritage and tourism create mechanisms and machinations producing subjectivities in the urban space of Pirenópolis. Supported by several transdisciplinary references to architecture and urbanism, and memories of past personal experiences, it was possible to experience the hypothesis that heritage and touristification reached such a degree of spectacularization in spaces, which created territories / places almost exclusively for tourists or residents in the historic center. In the search for searchlights and fireflies, both hegemonic processes, linked to heritage and tourism, as well as singular processes related to the daily life and the experience of the subjects involved in the production of urban space were treated.Item Agricultura urbana e sustentabilidade ambiental das cidades(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-05-31) Azerêdo, David Alves Finotti Camardelli de; Hora, Karla Emmanuela Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6451685640638572; Kallas, Luana Miranda Esper; Silva, Caio Frederico e; Lima, Fabíolla Xavier Rocha FerreiraThe study of urban agriculture has occupied research agendas in recent times. It is justified both by food production and occupation generation, and by aiming at the elaboration of diversified models of urban intervention for the formation of resilient cities in a context of climate change. To reflect on this theme, we start with the following questions: How can urban agriculture contribute to the development of resilient cities? What can the AUP experience in 11 cities tell us about the context of urban planning? In terms of the environment, does urban agriculture contribute to reducing carbon emissions? Therefore, the general objective of this dissertation aimed to understand urban and peri-urban agriculture (UPA) as an environmental resilience strategy in the context of urban planning. The analysis considered UPA practices in eleven cities on different continents, with details for the municipality of Goiânia, state of Goiás. Goiânia has been slowly outlining actions to implement the UPA based on popular and institutionalized practices. Aspects were considered in the analysis, such as: land use, socioenvironmental viability and public policy institutionalization strategies. In terms of the environment, the research explored methodologies for evaluating the reduction of carbon emissions that could be applied to the UPA. The methodology was based on a bibliographic review, documentary research and an exploratory study on the reduction of carbon emissions for the reality of Goiânia. Environmental sustainability was understood as the support capacity, resilience and resistance of ecosystems. The results indicate that, among the 11 cases studied, the multifunctional role of the AUP and its environmental role in cities stand out. Regarding the contribution of urban agriculture in building urban resilience, its partial contribution is verified as a potential action in reducing CO2 emissions due to the shortening of distances during the transport of these foodstuffs. But this measure depends on government regulations and incentives to occur.Item Dispositivos de vida pública: revisitando teorias e procedimentos de avaliação dos espaços públicos(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2017-09-13) Bandeira, Ângelica Carvalho; Hora, Karla Emmanuela Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6451685640638572; Hora, Karla Emmanuela Ribeiro; Medeiros, Valério Augusto Soares de; Caixeta, Eline Maria Moura Pereira; Kuramoto, Miraci; Britto, Pedro DultraThis dissertation has as objective define the variables for the evaluation of public life in Brazilian public spaces that can be applied with citizen participation in the future, resulting in guidelines for action. In this way, we intend to fill the existing gap in the design practice of the field of Architecture and Urbanism, which does not incorporate the citizen in the whole process and which proposes a fragmented analysis of public life. From a bibliographical research, the first part of the study is dedicated to the conceptual body that guided the development of the research, the second contains the sample of the procedures of analysis of public spaces traveled by the analogy of the itinerary, that is, showing how to evaluate and one minimum series of paths, or dimensions, by which the evaluation of public life can be carried out. From this theoretical-methodological referential arised the Public Life Devices that allow the evaluation of public spaces with citizen participation from phases and categories that, in turn, gathering criteria and registration techniques. Against the study can be concluded first that the theories on public life and public space are, , as a rule, contrasting with the Brazilian reality, but this could be changed through citizen participation. In a second moment, it is verified that every project implies in unforeseeable deviations, so, the specialists can’t order and control the experience in a space. But on the other hand this does not constitute negatively and yes portrays the public life itself. It is also considered that the public life notion is not just constituted in using the public space besides the circulation, but in claim the character political, social, affectionate and cognitive in the relationship people/citizen/subject-lived space/ existence. Finally, it is understood that citizen participation is necessary to attend to the aspirations of the population, especially those of the most excluded, besides implying in the full exercise of democracy.Item Residências do setor Central: por que preservá-las?(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-06-05) Barros, Renata Lima; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5246618096427219; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Paula, Ana Amélia Moura de; Caixeta, Elina Maria Mora PereiraThe deterioration of Heritage Assets is concerning. The lack of initiatives that pursuit its appreciation and preservation causes its loss. Our assets are part of our identity. They tell a story from the past and they are our form of communication with the future generations. What can be done for its preservation? In Brazil, a legislation specific to preserve Brazilian heritage assets is not enough. The preservation is not only a matter of the Brazilian Public Power, there needs to be social involvement. Given the importance of the relationship between society and the Heritage Assets, this dissertation will study some of the remaining historical residences in the Central Region of Goiânia, Brazil. Four of the residential buildings were selected and studied to better understand how people interact with these assets. The research includes architectural and urban analysis and importantly interviews with the owners. It was necessary to understand the value of these assets that go beyond the historical and architectural pointed by scholars. The owners add to the Assets and will affect its preservation process.Item Makerspaces: experiências inovadoras em processos de projeto de arquitetura e design(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-04-18) Bastos Neto, Lauderico Ferreira; Lima, Fabio Ferreira de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9209362463242475; Lima, Fabio Ferreira de; Caldas, Lucas Rosse; Cruz Júnior, Gelson daThis research proposes to understand the collaborative spaces of innovation promotion, the makerspaces, and how their use can represent an innovative experience in Design and Architecture project processes. The aim of this study is to think on how makerspaces can contribute as spaces of renovation and experimentation of design processes, with their applicability in Design and Architecture. It also seeks to understand the role of makerspaces, highlighting their potentials as from the experiments developed in these spaces, and their ability to promote design processes. When developing rapid prototypes, which aim to demonstrate how such space can be important in design processes at the scales of Architecture and Design, object design and wrapper architecture. The research unfolds in two moments: the first, in a qualitative way, a bibliographic review and the observation of built spaces of the makerspaces type are carried out. In the second, physical and digital prototypes are implemented, through experimental research, analyzing subjective issues inherent to contemporary design processes, their relationship with the technologies available in makerspaces and their attempts at technological innovation. Therefore, the organization of the research starts from both the bibliographic review (books, theses, dissertations, papers) and documental (standards and documents), aiming at understanding the processes of some Design and Architecture offices and their subsequent experimental reproduction. It is expected that the results obtained with this research can contribute to the theoretical debate about the project processes in design and architecture and their possible consequences. Furthermore, to contribute to the improvement of the contents and methodologies adopted in the creative processes by Design and Architecture professionals.Item O lar (in)existente: análise de edifícios de acolhimento institucional para crianças e adolescentes(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-05-28) Batista, Marlyene Ferreira; Badan, Rosane Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2241460854673642; Badan, Rosane Costa; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Teixeira, Anelizabete AlvesThe assistance to minors in situations of risk and/or vulnerability has gone a long way until reaching the care service system established nowadays. There were centuries of struggles and movements so that, gradually, laws that demanded the improvement of the protection of these minors were created. Children and adolescents, who pass through the care service system, experienced negative experiences, along with traumas, and, without option, move from their homes to an institutional home. A concrete home can cover part of a psychosocial deficit. Thus, considering the importance of this concrete home, the main theme of the dissertation is the (non) existence of the home within the care service system for children and adolescents. This research, approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Goiás, aims to demonstrate the value of architecture within institutional homes, as well as to answer the following questions: can architecture contribute to the meaning of home? How does it influence the care service system? With these aspects being implemented, the resident could be able to feel as belonging and inhabitant as the house, the space, is transformed in a place, a home. For this purpose, research was used, from aspects inseparable from the meaning of home: habitation, territoriality and identity in spaces, domesticity and common everyday life and, consequently, with positive memory as a symbol of affection for a place. Regarding the methodology, were used bibliographic reviews; analysis of the trajectory of the care service for children and adolescents in situations of risk and/or vulnerability; primary documents; on-site visits to an institutional home; photographs of the institutions acquired on-site; obtaining drawings through a focus group with children and adolescents living in institutional homes; image and word dynamics, as well as interviews with the children and the employees. With the results obtained after the application of the methodological procedures, it was possible to interpose, throughout the research, bibliographical references with the materials obtained in the dynamics and in the interviews. In some chapters, based on the author's own analysis and based on the context witnessed in the on-site visits and on the theoretical background, the drawings were interpreted. As a final consideration, there are only a few constituents of the home materialized in surfaces. Thus, no environments were found that invite the hosted to appropriate the space or materialize their identity, so that residents are unable to convey the image they want of the space in which they live. In addition, it is clear that a major gap in the construction of the home is the presence of a temporary nature, which makes belonging very difficult. It is expected that his study and the participative posture of other researches and society to open paths to an individualized and friendly service, in which users identify with the inhabited space, will contribute to building a meaning of home there.Item A antiga linha férrea de Goiânia. De símbolo da modernidade à obsolescência(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2017-08-23) Brandão, Simone Buiate; Britto, Pedro Dultra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3392969122990264; Britto, Pedro Dultra; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Chaveiro, Eguimar FelícioThis research is an agony verbalization for what has been left to oblivion in Goiania’s landscape, the ancient railroad of Goiás Railway. It used to be the modernization symbol of Goiás State and of the city construction, it was built in the 1950’s, from the extension of a railroad branch originated in the trunk line Araguari – Anápolis. The railway used to cross the whole state, to the north of the country, with the goal to reach the new capital of sertão, Brazil’s very deep country side, departing from Leopoldo de Bulhões and getting into the city perimeter up to Campinas, the oldest district in Goiânia. However, the golden years of the railway were too short, the late arrival of the trails coincided with the highways’ fast progress in the country, while the railways suffered many reflexes from the lack of investments and serious financial problems, besides the undercarriage’s obsolescence. Thus, a dream coming true became a nightmare, resulting on the partial deactivation process of the rail branch. This had boosted the increase of irregular neighboring areas occupations, the abandonment of spaces and the immediate removal of some trails. However, remains of a railway area were left, such as the stations, few residences and trails which unveil a past. This past is present like a ghost, who still walks by the city almost unseen by great majority of the population. Having this in mind, the aim of this study is to elaborate a story in order to understand and analyze the landscape that has been transformed along the years with the insertion of this modernity instrument in the urban tissue of Goiânia. The methodological procedures were based on bibliographic researches, documents analysis, on printed and electronic material from private and public institutions, on field and mapping services. This work helped us to understand how the railway has interfered in the formation and transformation of the space along the years until today, unveiling four distinct axes: the superposition axe, a path where nowadays one can find the Leste-Oeste Avenue, which has replaced the trails; the destruction axe, which comprises the Trabalhador Square, where one can find the Railway Station that suffers constant reuse try-outs, but nowadays is abandoned; the crossties’ cemetery, a path full of railway remains; and, finally, the resistance axe, the only path where the train still operates. In this way, this study tries to fulfil a gap in Goiás Railway’s history that has not been registered yet. At the same time, it establishes a base for new stories that could deeply explore each axe identified.Item A expansão urbana de Goiânia e instrumentos de gestão: um enfoque sobre a região sudeste(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-08-21) Brito, Lorena Cavalcante; Kneib, Erika Cristine; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4735551Y9; Barreira, Celene Cunha Monteiro Antunes; http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/visualizacv.do?id=K4784247D6; Barreira, Celene Cunha Monteiro Antunes; Kneib, Erika Cristine; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Nucada, Miraci KuramotoThis paper discusses the process of urban expansion of Goiânia, under the bias of management tools, from a case study applied to the southeast of the capital. The impacts suffered are analyzed for this region, due to the city metropolization process by conurbation with neighboring municipalities and simultaneously the process of abandonment of the central areas, by the elite. The period studied, the start of structuring the region to the present day (1950-2015), is marked by several phases that sometimes exemplify the history of expansion of Goiânia. It presents reflections on: the role of management tools in the city's expansion preocess, the spatial process and the action of cosial agents producers of the city. It was noticed a pattern of ocupation in the southeast, whose approach was made possible by the application of analytical methodology based on PANERAI (2015), classifying the types of occupation found. The clipping possible to understand the southeast as a whole as well as the current trend of urban expansion undergone by the state of Goiás capital.Item Paisagem e patrimônio: o caso da Vila Industrial em Anápolis – GO(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-05-12) Calaça Júnior, Mário Pinto; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6774803204502154; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Mello, Fernando Antônio Oliveira; Pereira, Maíra TeixeiraThe industry and railroad are part of the history of the city of Anápolis/GO - a city located between Brasília/DF and Goiânia/GO - and have contributed to the economic advancement and the desire for progress of the city’s residents. As it developed, several buildings related to these activities were built, especially in Vila Industrial (a neighborhood where industry and the railroad converge) – such as a mill, industrial warehouses and a railway station. In this sense, the objective is to identify whether in the aforementioned neighborhood there is a built complex that can be part of an industrial heritage collection, understanding its relevance in the urban landscape and what relationship Anapolinos have with it. For this, it was necessary, methodologically, to outline some paths such as: the historical survey, contemplating the trajectory of the railroad and industry in Anápolis, as well as the history of the neighborhood and the consolidation of its urban landscape, through research in archives and city periodicals; the theoretical-conceptual bibliographic review, with contributions to guide the research; finally, the field survey with recognition of the landscape of the neighborhood, together with the application of questionnaires with Anapolinos that contemplates the proposed subjects. In the end, it was possible to understand the place of Anápolis in front of its built set, especially the industrial one – being able to consider it subject to patrimonial recognition.Item O espaço público concebido, vivido e percebido no centro de Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-02-23) Camargo, Aline Gracino; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6774803204502154; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Resende, Sandra Catherinne Pantaleão; Mello, Fernando Antônio OliveiraIn the 20th century, changes in the understanding of time and space transformed urban space. The contemporary city conditions its inhabitants to a way of life mediated by spectacularization, at the same time that subversive tendencies appropriate and occupy the city everyday. These tendencies acquire different names, they can be known as tactics (CERTEAU, 1994), counter-uses (LEITE, 2001), prohibited uses (SERPA, 2007). This work aims to understand how dynamics of appropriation of public spaces in the city center of Goiânia from three dimensions of analysis of spaces raised by Lefebvre (1992): representations of space (conceived space), the practice of space (lived space) and spaces of representation (perceived space). To this end, it analyzes built particulars of space (conceived space), the relations of use and appropriation (lived space) and the set of practices, images and imaginary (perceived space). With the use of psychogeographic and cartographic drift, as the main methodological instruments, this research intends to investigate the characteristics, by whom and in what way the spaces in the center of Goiânia are appropriated, revealing their particularities. The study of these circumstances aims to understand the urban space from a sensitive methodology, which demands and esteems the contact with the daily life of the city. The reflections are based on the historical processes that acted in the conformation of public spaces in the center of Goiânia and, above all, based on the experiences lived in the daily life of the city, through the cartographic drift.Item Arquitetura e modernidades na educação secundarista em Goiânia (1937- 1971)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-06-02) Cardoso, Bárbara Maria; Mahler, Christine Ramos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8047665415543107; Mello, Fernando Antônio Oliveira; Resende, Sandra Catharinne Pantaleão; Mahler, Christine RamosResumo em língua estrangeira: The present study seeks to investigate schoolar architecture in Goiânia from two ensembles of buildings, corresponding to different periods of Modernity: the first one, related to the stage of construction of the city, from 1933 to 1950, and the second one, in the stage of consolidation of the city – related to its growth, from 1950 to 1971 – a moment marked by the search for progress in the country and in the state of Goiás, when there was a change in paradigms in Brazilian education with the rupture of teaching patterns adopted until then. The purpose of the research, in the field of Theory and History of Architecture, is to observe how the transformations in the selected school buildings took place, in both scenarios, based on analytical categories and architectural and urbanistic attributes. Initially, it is necessary to recover the historical context and the approach of the theoretical paradigms of Education to understand the pedagogical assumptions and programmatic needs - and of Architecture - as a translation of the educational needs -, referring to the time frame. Thus, the two architectural ensembles will be confronted as to the characteristics - typological, compositional, plastic-formal, functional, constructive and tectonic - and urban - implementation, relationship in the urban landscape and in the history of the city. The contribution to the historiography of Goiânia applied to Education, in addition to the documentation itself, can stimulate reflections about Architecture, Education and the city.Item Operação urbana consorciada: um instrumento de indução do desenvolvimento urbano ou financeirização da cidade?(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-03-14) Cardoso, Cayrene Maria Souza; Kallas, Luana Miranda Esper; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5020008366113739; Kallas, Luana Miranda Esper; Kneib, Érika Cristine; Lira, Flaviana BarretoThe present work deals with the Consortium Urban Operation (OUC), an instrument instituted by the City Statute (Lei nº 10.257/2001), whose purpose is to enable structural and urban transformations in certain urban sections, through the association of various actors. Currently, most Brazilian municipalities apply the instrument's regulation. However, despite the wide acceptance, several challenges are presented when reconciling the interest of the agents involved and the strategies of the real estate market in an urban intervention project. The main objective of this research is to analyze whether the OUC works as an instrument inducing urban development and/or as an inducer of the financialization of the city, contributing to the production of gentrifiable urban spaces. For this, the methodology relied on a bibliographic and documentary survey, with conceptual and historical identification of the institutionalization of the instrument in Brazil. The research also includes a conceptual survey and definitions of the themes “financialization”, “urban development” and “gentrification”. Furthermore, in order to understand the connection of these phenomena with the instrument, it was necessary to analyze two case studies, namely: Urban Operation Consortium Faria Lima in São Paulo and the proposal for Urban Operation Consortium of Jardim Botânico in Goiânia. As main results, it is pointed out that, although it is formalized nationally, the local definition given by the municipality, based on specific proposals, favors the heterogeneity of the instrument. With regard to the debate on financialization and gentrification, it is observed in the analyzed experiences, the use of the instrument more focused on the notion of land as a financial asset, and not for the recovery of public investments and reinvestment from the perspective of the social function of society. ownership and social inclusion. Architecture and design, due to their attributions, have the mission of thinking about welcoming spaces for this social category with emphasis on their specificities and subjectivities. Long-stay institutions are institutionalized spaces of collective housing for the elderly with social vulnerability, until then seen as places of exclusion, many with characteristics of precariousness, loneliness and isolation of the elderly. However, there have been advances in public policies that regulate the offers of reception units, so that social vulnerability is no longer a requirement to enter these institutions, which are becoming increasingly attractive as a new concept of housing. With the aging of the population in Brazil, it is necessary to know the reality of the host institutions and the perception of them by the residents themselves. The objective of this research is to investigate how the architectural spaces of these institutions and their sensory attributes are able to influence the emotional aspect and quality of life of the elderly. Therefore, the research will use the phenomenological approach, emphasizing the relationship between user and environment. The qualitative method of case study of Vila Vida in Goiânia will be used for documentation and analysis, with the use of instruments to assess environmental perception, through reports (oral history) and photographic language. As a contribution, it is intended to stimulate studies on housing categories for the elderly, in addition to documenting and giving visibility to the home-home model applied in Vila Vida.Item Pré-fabricação: arquitetura ou construção ?(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2016-02-26) Carvalho Neto, Manoel Balbino; Frota, Jose Artur Daló; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1237827122654831; Frota, José Artur Daló; Caixeta, Eline Maria Moura Pereira; Zein, Ruth VerdeThis research examines the issue of prefabrication in concrete under the gaze of architecture from three axes: historical analysis, technological analysis and theoretical analysis. The historical analysis explores the subject from the beginning of the reinforced concrete evolution and the emergency needs during the post-war in Europe. Either prefabrication or precast, gained space and meaning in the modern architecture with clear temporal, aesthetic and ideological link to Brutalism. At another times, the use of this technology seemed needless, limited to a single building - a prototype - despite all important prefabricated buildings already constructed. In Brazil, several experiments were performed at the Universidade de Brasília – “the prefabrication university” – having the architect João Filgueiras Lima, Lelé, as the main protagonist. The technological analysis opens the way for understanding the prefabricated building methods, sometimes engendered by the architecture itself, like ferrocement technology. Also problems concerning constructability are under discussion, while the prefabrication comes into disuse in the 1980’s. Theoretical analysis brings to the agenda the discussion of the essence of prefabricated architecture and explores the reasons for the dissociation between technology and art, either architecture or prefabrication. Here, the public school building systems conducted by prefabrication, created in Brazil also in the 1980’s is a good example. Known by the initials CIACs, CAICs, CEUs, FDE, they are all schools with a strong visual identity and a clear political link that does not allow these programs to last long. With the absence of big players like Lelé, prefabrication became an outdated issue for architecture, although it’s increasingly applied in engineering. Commercial pre-fabrication becomes consistent with the building structure acting as a construction subsystem - like the FDE case, the invisible part of the building waiting for a wrapper. Based on a private and differentiated historical gated community, called Privê Atlântico, the intention is to bring to light how this modality can become as strong as a point to transform a housing complex into a gated community and change the market value of their real estate. For this, a search of a macro look, seeking common questions to the cities of the contemporaneity and its society, in a scenario of a globalized and capitalist world. Afterwards, the focus shifts to the discussed theme. We chose to go from the origin of the gated community, the discourses used by the market for its valorization, and an image that these enterprises occupy in Goiania‘s society. The next moment is aimed at an understanding of the research object, Privê Atlântico. Again, the initiative is a quest for a macro look on the city. A recovering of the increase in the growth of Goiânia is done in order to know how a city developed and became appreciated towards the southwest region, where the gated community is located. It was also done in order to find out how specific investments such as parks can stimulate the population growth and attract investors and services that could value a region. Then, the look turns to the object of study. From the search for documents, the surveys made on the spot and the interviews granted by residents and former residents, it was possible to understand that it is a gated community that was born unpretentious, and that the greatest value that exists in the place is not the recognition of itself as a gated community, something which some villagers fought to conquer. Ironically, the value of Privê Atlântico can be explained by its history, by its humble origins. The neighborhood ties developed throughout its history, strengthened by the struggles faced by its residents, are what the Privê Atlântico possesses as the richest. Perhaps, the wealth of Privê Atlântico does not exist in any other gated community that has been elaborated with refinement, organization and elegance.Item Poder, memória e estigmas: pontes entre Ceres e Rialma(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2016-02-24) Costa, Lucas Felício; Fonseca, Carolina Ferreira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5992046118959738; Britto, Pedro Dultra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3392969122990264; Britto, Pedro Dultra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3392969122990264; Fonseca, Carolina Ferreira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5992046118959738; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Chaveiro, Eguimar FelícioIn this workit is proposed an approach between the forms of Power and Stigma as actions which engender socioeconomic and spatial differences. The cities of Ceres (National Agricultural Colony of Goiás) and Rialma (Barranca) were takenas objects of investigation. They are two municipalities in the state of Goiás, located in the Valley of Saint Patrick, at the banks of the River of Souls. Considered as “sisters”, these cities are separated by a geographic limit, a river, but they are also connected by stories, memories and a bridge. The two cities were founded on the same occasion, but their trajectories reveal, today, large differences established by an unequal and predatory relationship, based, since the beginning, on the construction of stigmas. To develop a possible reading of the historical, political and social condition, related to the formation of Ceres and Rialma, it is indicated a dialogue between the works of Michel Foucault (1992, 2008, 2012, 2013), based on the concepts of Power, Domain, Discipline and Torture, and the works of Walter Benjamin (1987, 1994, 2011), taking as reference the notion of History, Allegory, and Ruin. The historical groundwork of this dissertation was structured based on the analysis of official, literary and iconographic documents, and also based on interviews realized with residents of the cities of Ceres and Rialma. As a methodological proposal of evaluation of the process of territorial stigmatization, two procedures of reading of the territories of analysis were realized. These procedures refer to Certeaus’s (1994) concepts: the research in the condition of Flaneur, who walks and experiences the daily life of the cities, and as a Voyeur that uses several indicators – social, census, demographic, economicand cultural for analysisof Ceres and Rialma condition. The confrontation with the data obtained from the statements recorded in the field research, with the pioneers and the young people from the cities, enabled us to identify how the stigma of “Barranca” and other multiple forms of domination and subordination are present in the correlations between them as a strategic action of power. Therefore, we obtained as final considerations of this research that the production of social inequalities between the two cities comes from a historical function which feeds back and supports the maintenance of the status quo.
